Just in case your news feeds weren't beating you to death with it - in which case, good for you for avoiding the algorhythm - Andor kicked off its second season tonight with three episodes. We'll be getting three new episodes weekly until all twelve are up.
No spoilers: I just watched the first one and had a great time. You can almost hear the writers cackling in the background, almost as loudly as the toy collectors will be complaining about the lack of toys (not collectibles, toys) for this one. There's a vehicle you'll see and go "Oh man, I want a Retro/Vintage/Black Series/Micro Galaxy Squadron of that!" There are fun and in some cases goofy characters that, sadly, will most likely not become plastic in this era of adult collectibles. Now that I've finished dinner I'm going to go check out the second one.
Also don't forget Light & Magic season 2 is up as well - there are three episodes.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Dedra Meero (The Vintage Collection). This is a good figure and should tie nicely into Andor, should she still be available when it airs. The articulation is good, the sculpting is nice, and she doesn't look too much like any other ISB agents you may already own. Read on!
Ad: Pre-order New Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series and The Vintage Collection figures! Orders $59+ ship free in the USA, and more new items are being added nearly every day. K-2SO, Darth Maul, Dedra Meero, and Cassian Andor are up now.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Luthen Rael (The Black Series). Slightly more compelling than the title character of Andor, Hasbro made this figure with a top-notch head sculpt, baggy pants, and some joints that stuck a little more than I'd have liked - but hey, use the force, things start to move. Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mon Mothma (Senator, The Black Series). She has no accessories, but is a pretty decent looking figure who, in my findings, didn't stand so good. But she's the secret star of Andor, so you might want to grab one. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Cassian Andor (Aldahani Mission, The Vintage Collection). He's starting to pop up in stores (and online), but he's also mostly older figure parts and as such, is missing the blaster he made a fuss about holding on Andor. As a last-minute, rush job of a figure it's not bad - but since we got fully-sculpted figures from the show already it just reminds me that we could have had something a little bit better. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Vel Sartha (The Vintage Collection). It's a decent figure, but light on paint. The head is good, the articulation is fine - not great, but fine - so she isn't exactly impressive at the new suggested retail pricing. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Cassian Andor (Andor, Coat, The Vintage Collection). It's a pretty good figure and one of very few from the much-loved but less-viewed Disney+ series. Read on!
Andor was previously announced as premiering August 31, but now has been pushed back to September 21 with a whopping triple-header premiere. Here's the new trailer.
