Meet Aly San San, an unusual name for a droid but a fine Star Tours exclusive! This repaint of WA-7 looks right at home in blue and orange. Read on!
It's Hasbro, and it comes with a new Astromech droid, so Jedi Mickey oddly makes the cut for Figure of the Day. Is it worth it? No. But you're bored at work so read on!
You get two of this Sky Trooper in the boxed set Hasbro made for Disney last summer. I like it-- the stand isn't included, but man, it should be. It's cool. Is this repaint worth it? Read on!
The long-awaited (and rumored for years as the Star Speeder 3000) Star Speeder 1000 Playset is now available from Disney parks and their mail-order service. Want to see a ton of pictures and find out how to get yours? Are you curious how the first fully-licensed Hasbro-compatible non-Hasbro action figure item turned out? Would you believe it has a socket for your original Star Tours Captain Rex in it? Read on!
If you like weird, the Star Tours Luggage Attendant should be worth a look. You bought a similar figure, but it wasn't orange! So get this one. Read on!
Oh, here's a neat one. Mostly neat due to the accessory, as the figure mold is showing its age, this Star Tours Darth Vader just hit a month and change back, reusing the 2005 "500th" Vader mold with a nifty new floating platform.
The new Star Tours action figure sets are at the Disney parks right now. These new Hasbro action figure gift sets each sport at least 4 action figures plus new accessories. Some are better than others, and they're $39.95 each. (My pal Shannon was kind enough to pick mine up from Disneyland.) More details after the jump from someone who hasn't been on the new ride yet. UPDATE: Called out "differences" on repackaged figures.
One of the cool things about the Star Tours line was the addition of "cast members" like this Jedi Master. It's just some dude made out of Agen Kolar parts with a new head, making it an ideal theme park exclusive. Should you get one? Read on!
What does the future hold for Disneyland and Star Tours? Apparently "Ace," or AC-38 (pictured) is our new replacement for Captain Rex. (The name is, of course, being used elsewhere.) Also new is a repurposed WA-7 which will be named "Aly San San" unless that's a typo. More at Micechat.
The guys at Endor Express have a story on the two exclusives that Disney will be offering at Celebration V. One is a sneak peek at the Starspeeder 1000, and it's a lot oranger than the current model. The other is an all-black Donald Duck in Shadow Trooper outfit. You want to know about pricing and edition sizes, right? Better go check the full story at Endor Express!
