Destination D Reveals Two New Star Tours Droids

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 27, 2010

What does the future hold for Disneyland and Star Tours?  Apparently "Ace," or AC-38 (pictured) is our new replacement for Captain Rex.  (The name is, of course, being used elsewhere.)  Also new is a repurposed WA-7 which will be named "Aly San San" unless that's a typo.  More at Micechat.

The original Star Tours was always the top attraction for me at Disneyland ever since it opened in 87. I cannot wait for this new ride to come out!

New Star Tours coming soon

looking forward to the launch of the new Star Tours ride and can't wait to board the Starspeeder 3000 and journey to Tatoonie and enter the pod-race....

still a small part of me, (mainly my fond memories of working the original Star Tours back in '96) feels like it died....I love the original version and kinda of sad that it is being revamped....still change is always good so it's a wait and see how the new and improved version will stack up against the old.

I feel extremely lucky to be one of the many fans that got the chance to ride the Starspeeder 1000 at the Last Tour to Endor. such a great night.

looking forward to seeing the new droids (although Rex will always be Captain to me) and can't wait to search for some really cool Star Tours goodies and the hopes that Hasbro will once again launch the Star Tours line of figures with these 2 new droids leading the way.
