We're less than 45 days away from the release of The Force Awakens and a new set set of character theatrical posters are released featuring compelling portraits of Han Solo, Princess Leia, Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren. Check them out after the jump!
French graphic designer Carlos Pardo painstakingly plots the plans for the Death Star II in what has to be one of the ultimate posters ever created. After 2 years and 400 hours, he perfectly charts the galactic deathstation onto an A1 sized poster and launched a Kickstarter campaign to get it completed and released for a limited run.
LEGO Shop is offering a FREE LEGO Revenge of the Sith collectible poster with every purchase. The poster will be included in your cart upon checkout and is valid from October 26-November 1st.
For the first time in years - not counting teaser posters - a Star Wars film has adopted the digitally swabbed collage over the classic painted posters of old. In the article Star Wars: The Force Awakens Theatrical Poster First Look, In-theater Exclusives and More at StarWars.com, you'll see the poster as well as some news on tickets, the trailer, and the obligatory 7-movie marathon where, like with Star Trek in 1991, you may sit long and prosper.
An interesting note about the poster - if you zoom in, you'll notice Mark Hamill is given second billing behind Harrison Ford, yet doesn't appear on the poster (as far as we know). Leia's new hairstyle can be seem, barely, behind Han Solo.
A number of gifts are being given away at select screenings, so far they are things like lanyards, magazines, and glassware - no toys or figures.
Lucasfilm Animation has posted a 3 Day auction for the AIDS and Breast Cancer Emergency Fund of San Francisco featuring a rare Clone Wars art poster by none other than Supervising Director Dave Filoni.
As if you even need anymore reason to attend a FREE screening of The Clone Wars on the big screen, fans attending the theatrical event will also receive a FREE one sheet poster featuring the new series villain, Savage Opress, in 30's style "classic horror" art.
Being that this is a limited event, this should prove to be a great piece of collectible memorabilia and/or wall art. Read the full story at StarWars.com.
