This week on The Clone Wars: Get surreal with "A Sunny Day in the Void." If you liked last week's episode, this is pretty much on par in terms of quality. Surreal, bleak environments are at the forefront of an episode that manages to reference a wide variety of sci-fi and fantasy projects in under 30 minutes without a single shot being fired or sword being drawn. This week on The Clone Wars: We kick off actual, genuine fun with "Secret Weapons." We know we're in for a departure this week because the "Clone Wars" logo was bright blue instead of the usual yellow. R2-D2 and a team of droids team up with a Republic tactician to obtain a widget from a separatist flagship. It's the best episode of the season. It may be the best episode of the series. I had a big, dumb grin on my face the entire time watching this one. More after the break. (Best. Episode. Ever.)

This week on The Clone Wars: We end the Young Jedi story with "A Necessary Bond," which ties together plot points from several previous episodes into a pretty awesome conclusion. Count Dooku takes revenge of Hondo Ohnaka for kidnapping? It's here! Remember a very specific ship that crashed on Florrum a few years ago? It's here too! The episode gets a little weird in spots but hey, at least it isn't boring.

This week on The Clone Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, and Jedi Kids Join a Space Circus! This week, you're going to be infuriated that we aren't getting more Clone Wars toys. Do you know what "Bound For Rescue" has? A circus. I was delighted to see a bunch of the obscure Star Wars creatures from a few of the lavish hardcover books, but we also got to see a Gamorrean Clown. OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME WHY AREN'T YOU WATCHIIIIIIIIIING? As always, spoilers and video await you!

This week on The Clone Wars: adventures in Padawan-sitting! While last week's episode looked expensive, "A Test of Strength" cuts the budget by keeping us on a ship for most of the episode with fewer new characters added to the mix. The Tenth Doctor, David Tennant, guest-stars as one of the best new characters the show has ever seen while Hondo Ohnaka returns for a more villainous appearance. This week on The Clone Wars: A New Hope! If you wanted magic, "The Gathering" delivered by introducing several new characters on a rarely-seen planet. Best of all, this episode was actually fun to watch. I'm actually jealous of kids who get to see this as children, I think I'd have been pretty stoked to have seen this at age 6 or 7. This week on The Clone Wars: the battle on Onderon ends! "Tipping Points" brings us a bunch of action and resolution, speeding things along to a swift conclusion. The four-parter gave us our first look at Onderon in animation while shoving all our major players to the background. Was it worth sitting through? Let's discuss! This week on The Clone Wars: things happen! Not extent to wallow in and repeat exposition, the oddly named "The Soft War" bring us more action, more character, and actual events that you can recount as being different from the events you have seen previously. It's almost like we're spoiled! Ahsoka gets to be cool, Steela gets to show off, and we get to see some one-way shielding, which is apparently now a thing. As always, spoilers and video await you!

We're back to The Clone Wars with "Front Runners," which is the second part in an ongoing story of Jedi-fueled rebellion on Onderon. The fight of the Onderon people against the Separatists continue, bringing us more time with Saw and Steela Gerrera and a fair amount of action sequences, plus more than a few throwbacks to a number of battles in the saga. Taking a total turn away from where The Clone Wars was going, "A War on Two Fronts," takes us to a place which the Expanded Universe invented almost 20 years ago with the planet Onderon. Ulic and Cay Qel-Droma fought Beast Riders there, and now Anakin and Obi-Wan are bringing us on an adventure where they're training insurgents with philosophical debates over if this is training terrorists or helping people free themselves from the enemy.
