EW previews an exclusive trailer for the second half of The Clone Wars Season 3 making its debut on January 7th. After the mostly pastoral first half, the rest of the season looks to be spectacular! Click here for the trailer!
Sony teams up with Hasbro to promote their Clone Wars Adventures online game. Basic The Clone Wars and Saga Legends action figure blisters are being affixed with stickers touting a 30 day trial membership and 450 Station Cash. These stickers are showing up at Toys R Us stores this week.
As if you even need anymore reason to attend a FREE screening of The Clone Wars on the big screen, fans attending the theatrical event will also receive a FREE one sheet poster featuring the new series villain, Savage Opress, in 30's style "classic horror" art.
Being that this is a limited event, this should prove to be a great piece of collectible memorabilia and/or wall art. Read the full story at StarWars.com.
Seen in the premiere episode of Season 2, "Holocron Heist", Cato Parasitti shares the same Clawdite heritage as one Zam Wessel and shapeshifts her way into the Jedi temple. Her well sculpted and finely painted figure includes a molded helmet with a movable visor.
From the super intense and action packed "Landing at Point Rain" episode from Season 2, Clone Trooper Draa bears distinct markings as a member of the 41st Elite Corps. While the figure is a repainted version of the basic Clone Trooper mold and comes with several weapons and accessories including a missile launcher and backpack.
MMMM…BRAINS! This Season 2 storyline about zombie Geonosian Warriors had that sci-fi horror twist to it and “jumping the shark” potential, but it somehow worked. With removable wings and body parts, the figure has nice pose and play ability, but the cool factor would have been upped a notch if Hasbro somehow could have included a brain worm accessory.
Inspired by Kurosawa, the samurai-esque Kyuzo bounty hunter Embo includes an articulated bowcaster, throwing knives, a boatload of paint detail, and plenty of bushido spirit (or is that boshuda?). The excellent “Bounty Hunters” episode in Season 2 had plenty of nods to Seven Samurai, which in turn was one of Lucas’ inspirations for Star Wars.
Fan favorite Jedi Quinlan Vos gets his Clone Wars plastic treatment just in time for his recent appearance in the excellent “Hunt for Ziro” episode. Featuring nifty painted tats, a soft goods skirt, and additional hip articulation so that you can pose him nicely on his speederboard, which we assume will be seen in a future episode, Vos will not disappoint.
Lucasfilm and The Cartoon Network will be presenting limited theatrical screenings for a sneak peek at the new and mysterious villain, Savage Oppress. The screenings are FREE in select cities with an RSVP and those who attend are asked to bring a new/unwrapped toy for children in need this holiday season.
The Clone Wars Sgt. Bric Mailaway figure with Battle Mat is now showing up in mailboxes across the nation. Curatola01 reports his delivery today and sends us a couple of photos for your perusal.
Obi-Wan's droid finally gets plasticized Clone Wars style with great paint apps using the R3-S6 "Goldie" mold. If you like your droids, plan on picking this one up!
He's juvenile! He's delinquent! He's young Boba Fett! Re-introduced in Season 2 of The Clone Wars, the young bounty hunter in training is going through his own rites of passage. The figure is incredibly done, with the good likeness and articulation that we've come to expect from this line.
This figure is simply stunning, with soft goods that work with the super articulation underneath. We do have concerns about the long term viability of the soft goods skirt as it seems prone to unraveling, but it lays well and complements the figure overall. With the recently released Battle Pack, you may think that there would be ample supply of Mandalorian Warriors for everyone. But don't fool yourself. This guy will be hot to move off the pegs. View all the detailed photos in our Image Bank and be sure to post your comments!
A repaint of last year's "clean" release (and this year's re-release), CW24 Jungle Camo ARF Trooper offers nothing new except the cool camouflage paint deco based on his appearance in The Clone Wars theatrical film. And for this, we recommend picking up a couple. Make sure to post your comments!
