If there weren't a new Star Wars movie coming out, this trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront from EA would satiate fanboy dreams on its own. Starring all your favorite Original Trilogy feature players from a galaxy far, far away, the trailer is chockfull of FPS action with familiar galactic surroundings and hardware. The Boba Fett scene was pretty swaggy.

Lucas Arts Announces Star Wars 1313

If you have an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 connected to the internet, you can download a playable demo of an early stage of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II right now.  It's about 700 megs, so while big it should provide a nice sampling of what's to come very soon.  Assuming you buy the game, of course.

If you like to try before you buy, you'll get to try out the clone (or is he?) of Starkiller next week.  PSN and Xbox Live's marketplace will both host the demo on October 12, 2010.   Obviously, check your dashboards for exact availability.  The game itself has a number of iterations including Amazon-exclusive DLC.  As such, be sure to shop around before you buy!

Hayden Blackman Leaves Lucasarts
