New York Comic-Con is underway and we've posted some highlight photos from the Hasbro booth. The Phantom Menace is clearly the main theme, with Podracers, a Podracer multipack, and not to mention the Darth Maul package branding prevalently on display. Vintage does continue with a new cardback paying homage to the classic Kenner 12 backs. There's something big under a black blanket that we can't wait for Hasbro to reveal later in the show.
Before you see the new Naboo Fighter and Astromech Battle Pack, check out this Fi-Ek Sirch update from earlier this year! It's a Jedi and it's good.
Hasbro threw a Preview Night Party last night for New York Comic-Con and offered some tidbits of what's to come later this evening. In their Star Wars room, the H people showed the already seen ROTJ sandstorm deleted scene figures, a new play concept showcasing half inch scale cutsie figurines and vehicles called Battle Pods, and in what is sure to cause some consternment from adult collectors but play appeal for the kiddies; the return of the "action feature". Shown were the upcoming Qui-Gon Jin and Obi-Wan Kenobi action figures with light up lightsabers for the upcoming TPM 3D release assortment.

It's Kit Fisto, an amazing revision of a great character. Mostly. Some details aren't perfectly true to the film or to the needs of the toy, but it's still pretty good. Good enough? Read on!
It's new, and exclusive! The Spider Assassin Droid comes in a new Toys R Us exclusive set with two clones-- and isn't a bad little robot. (Well, OK, he's evil but it's a good toy.) Should you go run and get one? Read on!
In the comics, ARC Trooper Alpha-17 was usually blue. OK, pretty much 100% blue. There was a more Episode III-esque redesign, but for some reason we got a red one in an Evolutions set a few years back. Is it worth a look? Read on!
Hey kids, it's Lieutenant Thire! There are two similar-enough versions of this figure and you probably will want to get at least one of them. Why not? He's from a great episode. Read on!
It's a new Even Piell, the first all-new sculpt for the character in quite some time! (Almost 10 years!) This short figure has a nifty climbing backpack and a head sculpt that feels like it's a little fragile. Read on!
Hasbro sure likes Captain Rex, and this brand-new version is based on the newer sculpt, has a couple of jet packs, and ball-jointed hips-- plus a cloth "skirt.' Is it worth the upgrade? Read on!
It's another Geonosian Drone! Hasbro made a bunch of these out of one basic mold, and it's a good thing-- they all turned out pretty well! Read on!
I hope you love Republic Commando figures like this Omega Squad Sniper, an exclusive that you can't easily get any more. Well, unless you count eBay. Does this figure know where the blacktion is, or is it just another repaint? Read on!
From Domino Squad, it's Cutup! This new redeco appeared on eBay and has not yet been confirmed by Hasbro. Is it something they'll announce at New York Comic Con next month...
It's Aurra Sing, cartoon style! Since the new movie one isn't ready yet, this is currently the best version of the character you can buy as a toy. Heck, it might be still next year-- we'll have to wait and see. Read on!
