Star Wars in 3D

Lucasfilm officially announces the conversion of the live action Star Wars Saga to 3D! Industrial Light and Magic will be leading the project, with Episode I: The Phantom Menace expected to be released sometime in 2012. Read the entire article at The Official Site!

I'm definitely not a fan of

I'm definitely not a fan of the 3D craze these past two years. I just don't see it adding any value to a film. The real excitement here is that I'll be able to experience Star Wars (on the big screen - where those movies belong) with my son!


i agree I'm not a huge fan of the 3D effects today and feel it definately needs major improvement...hopefully by 2012 when the TPM is ready to hit theaters the 3D effects will be state of the art and blow away anything 3D that came before...I'm keeping my fingers crossed

all i can say is OMG and can 2012 arrive any sooner.... been waiting for this for years and I think Star Wars is the perfect movie to remake in 3-D..... I just really hope that the 3D graphics blow away anything of todays standards....
