Another classic! I made this video in 2015. For a shining moment Hasbro, Disney, and Lucasfilm decided to make a toy line and a TV show that shamelessly borrowed the Kenner and Ralph McQuarrie aesthetics, resulting in a surprisingly wide-reaching line of vehicles and a few action figures. There were bikes, walkers, transports, shuttles, starfighters... it was a decent time to be alive.
And if you have Retro figures, you should dig these ships.
This particular craft is a remake (or demake) of the late 1970s Kenner toy. It's much simpler. It retains the six pockets, adds firing rockets and jointed cannons. The entire top of the ship opens up with seating for an additional three figures - it's a thing of beauty, and something I would love for Hasbro to reissue with "Kenner" colors for us Retro fanatics. It feels like a toy - there are no wheels or elecronics, but Mini-Rig fans should enjoy it a lot.
It has been discontinued for nearly a decade but you can buy them on eBay if you are so inclined. I'd recommend scooping one up if you are lamenting the lack of "toy" vehicles to go with your faux Kenner figures from the past seven years.
