Is it time? Sure. We have some updates to the Retro Obsesso page, which tracks The Retro Collection data because I had time to kill.
 

It's San Diego's obligation to pop culture this week as Comic-Con International continues. Hasbro's Steve Evans shared a tease of what awaits Star Wars: The Retro Collection fans in 2027. The 50th anniversary of Star Wars seems to have 28 action figures and three larger items on deck. We don't know what these things are as of yet, but scuttlebutt seems to say that you should expect the bulk of the focus to be on the original Star Wars movie which is called Star Wars, and anyone calling it otherwise probably isn't over 40.   If Hasbro makes everything it broadcast, that will make 2028 the second-biggest year of The Retro Collection releases.

While Hasbro showed off no The Retro Collection vehicles, we did get a look at a Kenner deco The Vintage Collection X-Wing with Luke. And it won't be cheap, but at least it's striking. Considering it has less deco than the last use of the mold, I expect some gnashing of teeth.

I'm also spotting The Target 2026 action figure set with Garindan and pals in stores. I've seen this at two Targets, each of which had at least five boxes. Target did not ship my pre-order yet, so I just canceled the order. You may also wish to get out this weekend and just buy it - save the postman some work, and also spit in the eye of the very notion of patience. We've been waiting for more figures from the original film for long enough. So far I've opened Wedge (review Thursday, and oh do I have opinions) and Captain Antilles (review soon, it's fun.)

Hasbro gave us a glimpse at next week's pre-order items, with Attack of the Clones in The Vintage Collection and mostly animated projects for The Black Series.  I'm assuming the older fans are going to shrug, but it'll be exciting to see what people pounce on Monday at 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time.
