By Adam Pawlus — Friday, January 17, 2014

It's hiatus time again! But first - meet Merumeru, a Wookiee warrior that is a stunningly great improvement over previous Wookiee warriors.  At first glance I thought it was a tweaked version of a previous figure, but I was wrong!  It's really good.  Go get one. Read on

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,079: Clone Commander Neyo (The Black Series)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, January 16, 2014

FOTD is going on break after this week, but we've still got Clone Commander Neyo and one more figure to go!  He's not perfect, but it's a superior update for the character and as an added bonus, he included some TV Clone Wars detailing on his face.  Even more surprising, Hasbro retooled the back of his armor to look distinctive and different from the other Clones.  Read on!

Andrew's Toys has posted images for Saga Legends Darth Maul and Snowtrooper figures on Facebook.  These will join previously announced Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and another Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi figure, previously announced by Hasbro.  No date is known for these two, but since we have packaged shots I'd bank on "soon."  Click here to see them.

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, January 14, 2014

Sith happens! Aside from a brief mention in Revenge of the Sith, the design, character, and general sense of Darth Plagueis can be described as being very very dark in his costuming and quite well constructed.  Is he important?  Well, that's up to you.  Read on!

3D Systems Acquires Gentle Giant Studios

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, January 3, 2014

In a slightly more surprising move, 3D Systems Acquires Gentle Giant Studios.   The press release doesn't really say how (or if) this will alter the proceedings of our favorite collectible statues and busts, but the company 3D Systems is apparently quite interested to enter that realm of the world. More as we have it - although probably not at Toy Fair as Gentle Giant hasn't exhibited there recently.
