Check out the 6-inch Clone Trooper (Phase II), complete with the revised bucket we've all been dying for - and some other changes. A few deco points were altered from the previous releases, so this one is actually distinctive beyond just the helmet. (But not by much.) Should you snag this item next time Amazon restocks it for a decent price? Read on!
Don't (or do) miss Poe Dameron! This 6-inch pilot figure has a great sculpt with lots of wonderful detail, but strange ankles and stranger face deco. If you leave the helmet on, it isn't bad - the swappable fists are a nice touch. But do you need this one? Read on!
Check out Target's 6-inch Poe Dameron - probably in stores now unless it sold out. I got mine online for $10 off, which is where you want to be - it's a good figure, but the likeness on Oscar Isaac toys as of yet could use some work. (He's a tough face to capture.) Should you get this one? Read on!
If you like new droids, Yakface.com has some exciting news for you - the Holiday 2015 droid aptly named R2-H15 is out now! Actual pricing was not reported, but other droids in this line have been $12.95 and eBay prices (and mark-ups) seem to indicate that's about the going rate. Good hunting!
The armored Flametrooper has neat armor but weird weapon integration - you can't quite plug in the backpack or torch. Is it worth paying up to get the orange body armor with First Order symbols? Read on!
Check out the First Order Snowtrooper. It's not bad - nice gun, decent sculpt, and for some reason space Wolverine claws for cosplay purposes. Is it worth adding to your growing army, or is it time to admit the grim, bony fingers reaching from the grave have deprived you of the joy you once experienced from toys as a child? Read on!
Today in Figure of the Day: Luke Skywalker! Loosely inspired by the Sandstorm Scene and whatever was in the water at Kenner in the late 1980s, this Armor Up version of the Jedi Knight features the same sculpt and lightsaber from last year, but with wacky wrappings, belts, and a backpack for reasons nobody will ever truly understand. Is it worth the $13? Of course not - but it's weird and fun anyway, so read on!
Reader Matt wrote in to let us know that Disneystore.com is now selling the theme park exclusive Droid Factory Box Set - Star Wars: The Force Awakens for a ridiculously good $29.95. The set has 4 3 3/4-inch scale droids including some you haven't seen as toys before - considering the going rate of a droid is usually $10-$13, that ain't bad.
What's more, there's also this 25% off $75 coupon that expires today. If you need more than one set - or shirts - this is quite the deal.
UPDATE #2: Amazon pulled new orders down again. Check back for more.
It's here! Or it'll be here tomorrow, Amazon tells me. If you pre-ordered the Star Wars The Black Series 6-Inch Stormtrooper 4-Pack [Amazon Exclusive] back in September you might have it as early as tomorrow (Sunday). It appears Amazon is not currently taking more orders for this set, but you can click here to check availability in case it comes back. It was originally $79.99 when pre-orders went up September 4.
Meet Goss Toowers - the Resistance's famous mechanic. Dig him up and shake his hand, and then wonder just what role he plays in the movie. He's got awesome metallic gloves and a spiffy helmet, but is he a character or is he just scenery? We'll find out soon, but until then we can look at the figure and squint. Read on!
Hasbro's new Battle Action Millennium Falcon is the best toy for the holiday season according to the Telegraph. It may not be a close to scale B.M.F., but features plenty of electronic sounds and lights, not to mention a Nerf firing canon, that should be just the right kind of play magic that would attract the parental demographic looking for gift giving ideas for their The Force Awakens mesmerized kids.
Meet General Hux! It's a new character that totally isn't Denis Leary cosplaying as Toht from Raiders. He's got a long coat, a short gun, and a hat - what more could you ask for? If it was First Order logos on his sleeves, you'd get that too. Anyway, it's neat - read on!
