It's a blue R9-Series Astromech Droid! It's at Star Tours in Orlando, so if you want one, it'll cost you.  I think it's worth it.  The figure, I mean.  The trip?  Who knows.  I don't know where you live.  Maybe it'll be worth escaping the terrors that is the holiday season.

This Pit Droid came out earlier in the year and was sold in a few configurations.  It's the same figure, though.  Did you get one?  You probably should. 

This R2-D2 is pretty amazing.  Downsized and packed with features, it's actually worth the ten bucks.  Those glasses?  Removable.  The lightsaber pops up, a sensorscope is included, this is really the best R2-D2 you can buy.  Except it's shorter than every other Astromech you own.

Possibly appearing in an underpriced 8-pack at a Walmart near you,  this late-arriving Obi-Wan Kenobi is actually pretty good.  I hate that the battery is sealed inside, but the design other than that isn't half bad.  He's bulkier to fit the electronics, but the removable "skirt" lets him sit and the detail is quite good.  Should you get one?

It's the Shock Trooper, 2012 style!  The sculpt is thinner, the deco is crisp, but it lacks some of the damage from before.  I like it. And thankfully, you can probably find it out.  Want to know more?

The Blue R4-Series Astromech Droid is like R2-D2 with a pointier head.  Well, part of it anyway. Big thanks to our pal Shannon for his assistance in making sure this guy got here where he belongs.  Was it worth it?

This Luke Skywalker in his Bespin outfit is one of my favorite figures of the year.  Also, all time.  It's wonderful.  Crisp lines in his outfit are remarkable.  A working holster is awesome.  Yellow hair is oh-so-retro.  He can stand, sit, and requires little futzing to get him to behave as a good toy should.  Hasbro, you've done well in my book!

It's Darth Maul, as seen on TV and likely at a Target near you.  With a nifty spinning mechanism integrated into the weapon (rather than the figure) it's a rather clever new take on an existing outfit.  Is it worth shelling out for?

This AT-ST Driver was released a few months ago and is probably still at a Kmart near you. (That is, if there's a Kmart near you.)  It's based on the 2010 Target-exclusive release, but with Return of the Jedi-themed decoration and a sweller helmet.   If they were cheaper, I'd buy more.

It's so hard to say goodbye, but Hasbro follows up on their plans to re-issue Vintage Collection action figures that were popular, like Starkiller and Shae Vizla, and others from 2012 waves (like more of the Red Kithaba variant). These are scheduled to distribute in February 2013, but based on recent sightings in the wild, some may be shipping to stores now. 

It's Corpsey!  Er, Nanta!  This Ewok is best known as one of the dead Ewoks, and now he can be bought as a plastic exclusive at the Toys R Us.  Assuming they still have any.  You can tell where they were by the piles of unsold Yavin Pilot sets.  (Those are good too.)  Where was I?

Another Star Tours droid!  It's not orange, so this Red R3-Series Astromech Droid is different than the droid in the Legacy line a few years ago.  See the silver box around the black eye? That's how you can tell. 

Recently released (and really the only animated toys of the season), Clone Trooper Boost is part of the just-released and also just-marked down to $15.11  As a redeco, you know what to expect... but at least it's a neat redeco and one that's priced to move right now.  Should you get it?
