SCULPT/PAINT: There are obvious design nods and accents to traditional Mandalorian armor with Vizla being a progenitor to Fetts and Clones. The armor has good details in the sculpt and paint with gold and red deco applied to good effect. Blue paint detailing on the rocket pack and belt provide a luminescent lighting effect. In some cases, like with Nom Anor, there's a detachment in the design that doesn't quite translate in the Star Wars universe too well. But while one can argue that Vizla has Metal Gear Solid cues, she fairly fits in the galactic scheme of things.

This action figure features swappable heads for helmeted and unhelmeted looks. Vizla's unhelmeted head sculpt has good paint detailing that could also be used for customizing purposes if you're inclined. The helmet head's design has a snub nose with a hint of McQuarrie that looks pretty cool and stunning when popped on.

ARTICULATION: She has 14 points of articulation that includes a ball jointed torso, that's almost pretty standard on recent female figures, and swivel hips. Ball jointed hips would have been preferred to allow this figure more pose possibilities. But what she can be manipulated to do is quite sufficient and can be displayed in various action poses.

ACCESSORIES: Remember the 2002 attachable blast effects? Vizla comes with two flame effects that attach to her wrist gauntlets like Jango. She's also armed with two blasters, one differentiable with a scope, that are nicely deco'ed with black detailing and some blue accents. The jetpack also detaches from the back with a front tube extension that attached to the front of the armor.

CARDBACK: The blister has a "character debut" sticker and the card front features composite art of Vizla with the "Expanded Universe" Vintage Collection logo. The 2012 "14 Back" style has the rest of the characters in the wave as well as other previously released figures in the bottom row. The Vintage vehicle lineup remains unchanged since January and our friend Jayson from Yakface.com astutely pointed out the wrong Obi-Wan Starfighter (Delta 7) represented on the card back that's clearly not the ROTS Actis Class light interceptor on shelves now.

TOPPING THINGS OFF: Shae Vizla has the bounty hunter and video game selling points that should make her popular on a peg. While she lacks any film nostalgia factor, her design fits nicely enough in the Star Wars galaxy and features like the swappable heads add to her play and display value. With a Republic Trooper on the way, The Old Republic is beginning to be represented well in the Star Wars action figure plasticverse. Strictly film proper fans may not find her too appealing, but many collectors and gamers will. Shae Vizla receives a Most Wanted rating.

RATING: MOST WANTED (5 out of 5 Bounty Points)
