Question #7: from October 9, 2006:
I have opened my SAGA and CLONE WARS Rebublic Gunships and put them together for display. Now I want to disassemble and pack them away for a while to make room for new items. Problem is, the large side wings do not seem to pop off as easily as the other items on the ship. Do you know if the wings are removable or are they now attached forever? I would hate to finally pull them off an see the plastic connectors all busted up!

My answer from 2006 With commentary from 2025:
While I have managed to pop wings off once, it isn't something I would advise you to do-- the plastic doesn't look strong enough to survive a lot of stress. Hasbro designs most larger toys to come apart (rather than break) under stress, but if you're going to pack them away I would advise you just get some other, larger box to keep them in. Better safe than sorry, your Gunships are worth a lot these days!
And that was 2006! Today the ships are worth more, and I'd be increasingly scared to pop them apart. Clear plastic doesn't always hold up well to stress over time, and I assume given their age it would not be wise to ever pop them apart. It might take up more space, or it might cost more to ship them if you ever sell them. But it's probably worth getting the bigger box and paying/charging the extra money.

The Republic Gunship on HasLab has been having a tough go. According to people tracking it, its backer count actually went down on Thursday, but gradually regained the lost orders. With a hair over two weeks to go, it's probably going to struggle to hit the goal as I assume a slice of the backers are dealers. Once the ship doesn't have all the tiers, it becomes a less attractive business proposition. If you're thinking about backing it, it's probably better early to sign on now. The Cantina had a shortened funding period and probably would've hit the last stretch goal had it been allowed to go the full 45ish days.
Vehicles aren't widely collected by as many fans as figures. I assume it's because of space, but I think it would be much easier to have a full collection of vehicles (in the hundreds) rather than a full collection of figures (in the thousands.) Most fans aren't willing to throw down to buy seconds (or thirds) and as such, there aren't as many to wind up on the collector market. If there's one you want this year - like the E-Wing, Landspeeder, Gunship, TIE Advanced, and so on - maybe don't wait too long.
Whatever you do, buy what you like and don't worry if you miss something. The price is going to be up in the air, but there are very few items that won't be available down the road. (Crowdfunds, of course, being a unique case where they have to make them first.)
