1. Is it time for a break?
--Someone, probably
Sadly, yes! I'm taking off for June. Maybe longer.
If this is the last time I write you for Q&A, it has been an honor answering your questions and also shamelessly taking notes on your feedback and running it to people who are in the business. I'll still be writing Figure of the Day and will be looking for other features that might be interesting to you and/or me. The Galactic Hunter Star Wars: The Retro Collection Dump has been a lot of fun to maintain, and from the sound of things I'll have more to add in 2027. For the very, very, very specific list of people who want a 1990s-style HTML page on Hasbro's least-popular collector line, I'm here for you, boo. And I hope to be back to do Q&A again in July or August, if you'll have me.
While the weekly Q&A is the most-read thing I post on Galactic Hunter (as it was on Rebelscum and Yakface back in the day,) it needs questions to fuel the fire. I'm going to take off until questions come in. I've been toying with the idea of doing an update every time we get two questions and the feature might come out on an irregular schedule, or even doing more, but I can't answer without question.
If you like, email me with Q&A in the subject line and I'll start working on the next installment. If I get a lot of questions, we'll be back a lot sooner. If I get no questions, it's time for that long march into the sea. For the feature. I'll still be here.

FIN
Well, that was depressing to write. But it's not all sad news, I'm very excited for Target's new The Retro Collection set of Kenner-style figures which is due in July. As always, I recommend everyone support the things they want by picking one up at full price, so everybody has an incentive to produce more items like this. Also The Black Series Droids cartoon figures are nice to see, and I would also have really loved some cartoon-only guys. Could you imagine a Jann Tosh or a Tig Fromm? That'd be cool. Maybe some day! At least we're getting coins.
I'm hoping that's not the end of Q&A. I might still write this little "FIN" editorial when a topic hits me, but let's be honest - if a new Star Wars TV series and a new movie in the same month didn't stir fan excitement, I'm guessing it's going to be pretty quiet in 2026. Next year we've got more Maul more Ahsoka, Starfighter, and probably a lot of toys. But this year, we're getting a set of The Black Series figures for Droids, which I would not have guessed. I think that Visions anime series is still coming, and it would appear a lot of other movies are on deck.
And for 2028? It's still a mystery to me. If more movies, TV, or hiatuseses are coming, the mouse house has been quiet.
I've heard some really amazing things about what might be on the drawing board next year. Also, this year has been pretty good - if slight. Star Wars is no longer the domain of a very specific micro-generation of kids, but now the whole brand has an Original Trilogy era, a Prequel Trilogy era, a post-Disney era, a The Clone Wars era, plus fiefdoms of Expanded Universe material too. If any group can get five or six figures per year, then that's a pretty good year, I'm crossing my fingers they go back to themed waves to better engage these groups, but I'm not holding my breath. (Although, I should note, we got some for Maul and The Mandalorian and Grogu in The Black Series. There's hope!)
