Podcast: Sound of Young America Interviews Carrie Fisher

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, December 5, 2011

If you like a good podcast, you should check out The Sound of Young America if you aren't already a subscriber.  Jesse Thorn interviews Carrie Fisher in the latest episode, and while there's not a ton of Star Wars in there, you'll hear about how she thought it might be some tiny movie that nobody saw and ended up some sort of "hip thing."

Fisher also goes on to talk about Liz "Cleopatra" Taylor, Roddy "OG Caesar" McDowall, and numerous other fun anecdotes that are totally worth your 30+ minutes.  Click here for more.

Aside from this interview, the show routinely has fantastic guests-- I am not on their board or anything, I'm just enthusiastic about good podcasts, and this is one of the best interview shows out there.

It is interesting how she thought that the movie was going to be just some little movie with a small following. I can imagine her surprise when it ended up being one of the greats.

There are a lot of great podcasts coming from the movement and the Carrie Fisher interview about Star Wars is really interesting today.
