Dave Filoni and Lynwen Brennan are set to take over running Lucasfilm from Kathleen Kennedy. She produced several of the biggest movies of the 20th century, boasting an utterly astonishing resume before coming on at the dawn of Lucasfilm's Disney era. She gave us Rebels and Andor, plus The Rise of Skywalker and The Book of Boba Fett in the biggest surge in Star Wars stories ever. And there was a lot of gas left in the tank!
Deadline.com posted A Shift In The Force For Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy: The Exit Interview. If anyone is looking for toy or licensed product news, this is not that kind of interview. It's loaded with confirmations of finished scripts that Disney isn't (yet?) making, with a strong emphasis on the movie scripts that are out there somewhere. It sounds like there's a treasure trove of stuff to read out there if someone ever leaks it, plus tidbits on what else we might see over the next few years.
Take a few minutes to read it over. It's providing fodder for coverage on numerous sites, highlighting various bits about long-gestating projects we may never see. Fascinating stuff.
