This week on The Clone Wars: Events are shown to have actual consequences with The Wrong Jedi. Like last season's final arc, we see events actually cause big changes to the Clone Wars storyline, with actual weight, things that matter, and a reason to tune in for a change. This week on The Clone Wars: Ahsoka is on the run some more in "To Catch a Jedi." Unlike many episodes of the series, this one is actually really exciting, giving us a chance to look at the lower levels of Coruscant (and we get so close to level 1313) as we get glimpses into just who (probably) really did set up the Jedi temple bombing a couple of weeks ago. While we don't meet many new characters, old familiar faces are back and will continue to make you mad that Hasbro isn't making more toys of these designs. Spoilers and video after the break.

This week on The Clone Wars: Ahsoka the fugitive in "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much." Arguably the best-looking episode of the series, this week we see breathtaking chases through pre-Imperial corridors and the streets of Coruscant. Recalling numerous films focused around cases of mistaken identity, Ahsoka has been framed. Admiral Tarkin is here. And oh, so many Shocktroopers! Spoilers and video after the break.

This week on The Clone Wars: Let's ape the police procedural in "Sabotage." The Jedi Temple is attacked, and even the Jedi are suspects. Call in Anakin, Ahsoka, and the David Caruso Robot to investigate! This story kicks off what we are told is the final arc of an abridged season, although to be honest, the storyline could probably end right here and you wouldn't miss much. (And this one is a little late thanks to Toy Fair, but we'll have the next installment in a couple of days.) As always, video and spoilers await you after the jump!

This week on The Clone Wars: Scream at the heavens over the amazing stuff that you'll see in "The Lawless." Resolving many loose threads and justifying a few previous fairly dull episodes, this week's installment brings back a variety of familiar faces while giving fans (and especially fanboys) a Mandalorian battle so spectacular that it should have been held back for the series finale. While the D-Squad arc mixed adventure with a bit of an existential crisis, this series Darth Maul's arc (seemingly) wraps up reminding you that the saga is still quite capable of punching you in the gut and killing off a major player if it feels it necessary. If you watch only one episode this year, make it this one. I don't care if you hate this show. You're a Star Wars fan and you need to see this. More (as in spoilers) after the break.

This week on The Clone Wars: All those boring corruption-on-Mandalore episodes act as backstory to the highly-entertaining "Shades of Reason." While not as overstuffed and crazy as last week's installment, you probably get more Mandlorian armored action than you've ever seen in a single televised installment of the show plus a major change in the Mandalorian political hierarchy. (It's entertaining, I promise.) More after the break.

This week on The Clone Wars: D-Squad's possibly final mission with "Point of No Return." Sadly, all good things must come to an end and one of the most engaging arcs of the entire series ends here! Will Gascon and the droids return the encryption module safely? Will there be a new menace? Could we see a returning villain? More after the break.

The AV Club has a great article on The Star Wars Holiday Special!  There are quotes from writers, all sorts of trivia, and the usual enjoyable commentary.   “…And Introducing Chewbacca’s Family!” Case File #30: The Star Wars Holiday Special" looks into what could've been interesting and winded up as the saga's first and really only official "let's bury this under the rug" moment.

This week on The Clone Wars: Get surreal with "A Sunny Day in the Void." If you liked last week's episode, this is pretty much on par in terms of quality. Surreal, bleak environments are at the forefront of an episode that manages to reference a wide variety of sci-fi and fantasy projects in under 30 minutes without a single shot being fired or sword being drawn. This week on The Clone Wars: We kick off actual, genuine fun with "Secret Weapons." We know we're in for a departure this week because the "Clone Wars" logo was bright blue instead of the usual yellow. R2-D2 and a team of droids team up with a Republic tactician to obtain a widget from a separatist flagship. It's the best episode of the season. It may be the best episode of the series. I had a big, dumb grin on my face the entire time watching this one. More after the break. (Best. Episode. Ever.)

This week on The Clone Wars: We end the Young Jedi story with "A Necessary Bond," which ties together plot points from several previous episodes into a pretty awesome conclusion. Count Dooku takes revenge of Hondo Ohnaka for kidnapping? It's here! Remember a very specific ship that crashed on Florrum a few years ago? It's here too! The episode gets a little weird in spots but hey, at least it isn't boring.

This week on The Clone Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, and Jedi Kids Join a Space Circus! This week, you're going to be infuriated that we aren't getting more Clone Wars toys. Do you know what "Bound For Rescue" has? A circus. I was delighted to see a bunch of the obscure Star Wars creatures from a few of the lavish hardcover books, but we also got to see a Gamorrean Clown. OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME WHY AREN'T YOU WATCHIIIIIIIIIING? As always, spoilers and video await you!

This week on The Clone Wars: adventures in Padawan-sitting! While last week's episode looked expensive, "A Test of Strength" cuts the budget by keeping us on a ship for most of the episode with fewer new characters added to the mix. The Tenth Doctor, David Tennant, guest-stars as one of the best new characters the show has ever seen while Hondo Ohnaka returns for a more villainous appearance. This week on The Clone Wars: A New Hope! If you wanted magic, "The Gathering" delivered by introducing several new characters on a rarely-seen planet. Best of all, this episode was actually fun to watch. I'm actually jealous of kids who get to see this as children, I think I'd have been pretty stoked to have seen this at age 6 or 7.
