After selling out a few times, the generously sized and designed-for-a-DETOLF case Prototype Deluxe Space Bar - Custom 3 3/4" Action Figure Playset is back in stock at the Orbitdyne Etsy page. It lights up, with glow-in-the-dark elements and it's a good fit for retro figures but also works nicely with modern ones. Click here to buy it if it hasn't yet sold through.
It's a 3-D printed item that is several elements you align and enjoy. It's a great display piece that seems to get the job done, and that job is making sure your figures look like they're doing something other than stand around waiting for you to play with them. It's great.
The Orbtidyne Shop on Etsy has restock with the orange mini Space Bar playset as well as new brown and blue versions! A deluxe light-up version with seats, doors, and more sold out before I could get this post made. Click here to check availability of the other sets - they're nice additions to a Kenner or retro figure collection shelf.
Your pal and mine Seth Longmire has been working on some fun retro-style 3 3/4-inch playsets to go with the myriad retro, old, vintage, indie, and other action figures we all own. His PROTOTYPE Mini Space Bar - Custom 3 3/4" Action Figure Playset is up on Etsy now - it's orange and should fit pretty much any old-school 3 3/4-inch Kenner style figure. There's no Kenner-flavored Wuher to be had, but surely Guinan needs to do something between tours of duty. Check availability here - also a bigger, more luxe version is on the way.
Over at Orbitdyne, Making a Cantina - Part II shows a much larger, more robust set with booths, a full bar, glow-in-the-dark elements, and electronic internal lights. And a sticker door. It's incredible - and you should check it out.
Friend of the site Seth Longmire has been working on a 3 3/4-inch scale bar for action figures that's a mix of old 1970s colors and modern 2020 production techniques. You can read about it at Making a Cantina - Part 1 where the orange 3-D printed prototype can be seen.
I've seen a bit more of this item's progress and I can tell you it's pretty spectacular, and designed to fit in a DETOLF (so far.) You'll want to keep an eye on this one if you have a lot of properly scaled action figures. And if you don't, there have been some really good ones lately.
