As a fan of music stuff, I recently bought an album from K Records - and this morning I got an email informing me of a group called If It Ain't Breakfast Don't Fix It. There Will Be Casualties is a new cassette tape (really) new release with MP3 download code, and hand-stamped cover art by Jillian Chaplain featuring one Dark Lord of the Sith. It's not super Star Warsy, but for those who collect stuff from the creative edges of a galaxy far, far away this might be $8.00 well spent.
You can see more shots of it - including the Band-Aid used to seal the tape's box, plus links to sample tracks - here.
Perhaps better known to fans as "Star Wars Disco," the schlocky Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk by Meco was actually part of a fairly popular and wildly popular mash-ups in the 1970s. The AV Club has an article called Star Wars goes disco and other crassly commercial hits of the "Medley Age" which is a fascinating read to anyone who loved through the Meco or Stars On 45 the first time around, or heard them referenced on "Weird Al" Yankovic albums or other Dr. Demento songs much later.
