Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Anakin Skywalker (The Retro Collection). This one came out last year, and is very similar to the old Kenner figures minus the pose and texture. But it's close - and I like the format enough to say consider getting it anyway. Read on!
Target added the Star Wars Retro Collection Star Wars: A New Hope Figure Multipack. According to the page, this set is due around April 27 - that's over 50 days from today, and your card won't be charged until then so technically you're not yet buying it.
The set includes a Sandtrooper, Luke Skywalker (Yavin), Rebel Fleet Trooper, han Solo (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit), Walrus Man, and Dr. Evazan. I'm kind of surprised they didn't use one of the older names like Dr. Cornelius or Roofoo. Anyway, pre-orders are open and the set is $59.99 for six figures.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Fennec Shand (The Retro Collection). I had her on my desk for months and thought I wrote the review - well, let's correct that! Here she is, and you might even find her at Ross for cheap. This wave never hit big box stores, which is a shame because they're all very good figures. Her removable helmet reminds me a lot of the old Boushh. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mace Windu (The Retro Collection). While smoother than actual Kenner toys, this recent-ish release does look pretty cool with his cloak and purple lightsaber. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mae (Assassin, The Retro Collection). This is a really nice figure - she has a vinyl cape and two knives, with separately molded hair. She is in a six-pack sold online, so get her while you can. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Padme Amidala (The Retro Collection). This is the first - and possibly only - version of Natalie Portman's character in the retro format, and comes complete with cape and blaster. I'm surprised they gave her a new gray blaster mold, rather than reusing the Leia pistol. It's a pretty decent figure, with a few sculpted details that look amazing and boots that look a little too precise. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mother Aniseya (The Retro Collection). Sure, she's from new Disney+ content and not the original trilogy, or Ewoks or Droids or Star Tours or the 1977-1987 Marvel comic book, but she still makes for a decent Kenner-style action figure. Her costume in The Acolyte was incredibly ornate, as was her make-up, and this figure has to tone it down a bit - and does a pretty good job. Her hair is still huge, with some gold in it. Her outfit has a lot of good sculpted detail, including a very Hoth Rebels-esque pattern in the blue part of her costume. She's very much a simplified version of what you saw on the small screen, but if she weren't, she wouldn't be "retro." Give this one a look. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Jango Fett (The Retro Collection). While a little too nice for a Kenner-style figure, it's not an unlikable toy. The jet pack is similar (but different) from what we got on Boba, bis blasters are cool, and the paint is more or less as good as any modern Jango toy. You should give it a look. Read on!
In what is arguably the most important news of the year for Kenner fanatics, Hasbro Pulse revealed six new - well, five new, and a sixth - Kenner Star Wars action figures from the film called Star Wars on social media today.
In this set you'll find the Rebel Fleet Trooper, Han Solo (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit), Luke Skywalker (Yavin), Walrus Man, Sandtrooper, and Dr. Evazan.
But why, you ask, is this exciting? Let's have a fake Q&A.

I'm on Bluesky. It got really popular in the last couple of weeks, so I am posting a few fun things there - like this! And yes there's a typo in it, Bluesky does not yet have an edit function.
What you're looking at is The Vintage Collection The Armorer’s Forge Playset populated by some 2022 and 2023 The Retro Collection figures from The Mandalorian. The playset got some criticism for being unpainted and old-looking - which my brain immediately read and thought "Oh so like a Kenner playset?" It even has a little cabinet that opens with sticker detail inside. The actual toy does not light up.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Osha Aniseya (The Retro Collection) . Her The Vintage Collection figure was one of Hasbro's very best, and the Retro figure is also pretty neat. I was surprised she has a separately molded wig - an impossibility of the Kenner era - and it looks phenomenal. I like this one. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Ahsoka Tano (Ahsoka/Jedi Robes, The Retro Collection). She has a new hat! And also, improved hands that better grip her lightsaber - if you see her, she's arguably worth the upgrade even though the figure sculpt and deco are more or less otherwise unchanged. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Emperor's Royal Guard (The Retro Collection) . This sold-out exclusive looks pretty spectacular, with detail surprisingly close to the original from 1983. You've probably got one by now, but if not, this was a good figure to have. Read on!
