Pre-order is now up for Sideshow's latest entry in the Sixth Scale Scum and Villainy collection: Jango Fett! Boasting a reputation as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, the expert mercenary is ready for hire decked out in a hand-tailored flight suit, layered belts with holsters and pouches, a hardshell armored vest, and western-style poncho. Destined to one day become the face of the Clone army, Fett’s identity can be concealed behind his iconic Mandalorian helmet, or revealed with an additional swap-out portrait complete with pilot headgear.
Sideshow announces their new Jango Fett Life-Size Bust and taking pre-orders now. The bust measures over 2 feet tall and meticulously sculpted in 1:1 scale.
Take 2007's TAC Evolutions Jango Fett, retool his wrist gauntlets, swap out the JT-12 jetpack for a more colorful Z-6 pack with a removable "firing" dummy rocket, add some minor deco changes and a removable poncho, and there you have the "new" Vintage Collection Jango Fett. We're quite frankly slightly underwhelmed by Hasbro's effort, especially for a character that's worthy of a good "ultimate" upgrade. Keeping the figure carded in the awesome Kenner inspired card is probably a good option if you have the EVO version already.
Saga Legends 05 Jango Fett saw a running change from the 2002 pre-posed Kamino Escape version to the slightly improved and more feature rich TAC iteration from 2007, which actually matches the product photo on the cardback. While neither version is perfect, we're hoping it will soon be a study in an almost decade long evolution once the new Vintage Collection figure is released. You've come a long way Hasbro.
