Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,211: Stormtrooper Officer (The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 8, 2015

We don't know if this Stormtrooper Officer is in the movie yet, but we do know it comes with an armored, gun-packed Assault Walker vehicle.   It's similar to the carded Stormtroopers (all three of which I have seen in stores as of yesterday), but the plastic is a slightly different texture and shade of white - plus there are minor manufacturing differences.  Want to know more?  Let's say that you do.  Read on!

NYCC: Official Star Wars MicroMachines Shots

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 7, 2015

Oh boy, new MicroMachines!  Some of these are shipping now - 3 new 3-packs are part of wave 2 and I've already got them here on my desk.  (2 X-Wings and a TIE, Falcon/Executor/TIE Bomber, ROTS Jedi Starfighter/ARC-170/Droid Tri-Fighter).

Other new entries include new blind bags and yes, new 5-packs.  Do you want to see these?  I certainly hope so, because I'm posting them for you regardless - I'm collecting these and I assume you are too.  Do it.

NYCC: Official Star Wars Black Series Titanium Series Shots

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 7, 2015

What's this?  Why, it's new Titanium Series vehicles!  The A-Wing, Imperial Shuttle, Jakku Landspeeder, Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, Republic Gunship, Sith Infiltrator, and Star Destroyer are all here.  (Some are returning champions.)  They're all still quite cheap, thankfully, so you can get 'em in stores soon.   Images after the jump.

NYCC: Official Star Wars Black Series Shots

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 7, 2015

We got 5 hi-res pictures from Hasbro!   The First Order TIE Pilot, Snowtrooper, General Hux, Resistance Trooper, and Atsy (and not Han Solo) are all here, after the jump, for you.

NYCC: Star Wars Old Man Han Solo, More Revealed

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 7, 2015

Hasbro's busy! While we're not in New York, others are and we can link to their sites.  Of note, ToyArk has shots of many new 6-inch figures and the Transformers sites are loading up on new Titans.  (Titans are now, of course, very small toys - the Headmasters. Galvatron, Skullcruncher, etc. Great time to be alive, but I digress.)

For Star Wars, a 6-inch Han Solo is coming - as is Ello Atsy, a TIE Fighter Pilot, Hux, and others.  Click here to see a gallery at ToyArk.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,210: Special Edition Stormtrooper (The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 7, 2015

Based on the box, I'm pretty sure his name is the Special Edition Stormtrooper.   It's black, has knees, and a cool red stripe pattern on his chest.  He has a plug-in blaster and can more or less sit on his speeder bike.  Want to know more?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,209: Rey (Speeder, The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, October 6, 2015

If you liked Rey, you'll love Rey (Speeder)!  Maybe.  The same basic form is kept, but all of the parts are different - the head is new, the torso is tweaked, the hands have sculpted gloves, and the feet lack copyright marks.  There are some color differences too!  Also it includes a landspeeder thing.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,208: Poe Dameron (The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, October 5, 2015

I know what you're thinking.  "Poe Dameron doesn't fit in the X-Wing!"  Well, he does - you have to work him in there a bit, but you can absolutely get that canopy closed over him without smooshing down his removable helmet.  It could be easier to do, of course, but figure/vehicle compatibility seems to be an increasingly tough thing to get.  The X-wing pack-in figure is very similar to the individually carded version, but there are a number of minor changes all over - want to see a quick comparison?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,207: First Order TIE Fighter Pilot Elite (The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, October 2, 2015

You might not have this one yet.  The red-striped removable helmet of this First Order TIE Fighter Pilot Elite is exclusive to the "desert" TIE Fighter sold at Toys R Us as an exclusive, and as you know it's showing up right now.   If you collect one of every figure, you're going to want this one too.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,206: Poe Dameron (Armor Up - The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 1, 2015

Today let's look at Poe Dameron (Armor Up), one of the unique-to-the-armor-series figures!  He's pretty great - new sculpt, nifty armor, and of course higher price tag.  Should you get one?  (As of right now - yes.)  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,205: Finn (Starkiller Base - The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, September 30, 2015

If you're OK paying more for a figure, Finn (Starkiller Base) is worth a look.  It's basically the same as the cheaper version with a different accessory, but the Armor Up coverings are actually quite nice - wouldn't you say?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,204: X-Wing Pilot Atsy (The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, September 29, 2015

A new character!  X-Wing Pilot Atsy is the name on the front of the packaging, so let's go with that.  He has a unique body and head, so odds are you'll want to get this one.  His packaging art has some Aurebesh on it - wouldn't you like to know what it reads as?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,203: R2-Q2 (Droid Factory - The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 28, 2015

Let's look at the new R2-Q2 from the Disney parks boxed set!  The deco is actually pretty different from the previous R2-Q2 domes, so give this one a look if you're looking to flesh out a shelf with robots.  Read on!

Walmart Exclusive Black Series Star Wars 3 3/4-Inch In Stores Now, Maybe

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, September 27, 2015

2936 That first trio of The Black Series 3 3/4-inch action figures are hitting Walmarts now - that's the good news.  I spied two of them personally yesterday, neither of which seem to be significantly altered from previous releases.

Each figure is $12.93, and comes boxed.   Darth Vader is a repack of the classic 500th Darth Vader mold, and now we know the dome is not glued down - the sample I saw was floating around freely in the box, the figure loose and the helmet wedged down below.   Chewbacca appears to be a repack of the 2004 Original Trilogy Collection Vintage figure, which was $9.99 (and cheaper) and also repacked several times since then.  I was not able to confirm if Luke has any changes, as he was not available at the stores I examined.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,202: First Order Stormtrooper (Snow Version 2 - The Force Awakens)

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, September 25, 2015

Another First Order Stormtrooper is already out, this time with a different build-a-weapon.  Or "COMBINE" weapon, or whatever.  The figure is the same, but the little gun is new - do you need it?  Read on!
