Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,725: K-2SO (The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, September 15, 2020

We assure you, K-2SO (The Vintage Collection) is new! Lots of articulation and paint has been added to this 3 3/4-inch figure, which you may have bought a couple of times in other formats by now.  The spin-off with the character is a ways off, but at least you can enjoy having him early... or late.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,724: Power Droid (Lars Family Homestead, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, September 10, 2020

It's in the movie! But not on the cardback photo.   Power Droid (Lars Family Homestead, The Vintage Collection) can be yours, if you order online or find one in the wild at one per case.  It's a retool of a previously exclusive Hasbro droid, but now it has a new hat - and tons of new deco, so it looks great.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,723: Kit Fisto (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, September 8, 2020

Hey it's Kit Fisto (The Black Series 6-Inch!  It's the new Obi-Wan body with new hands and a new head. And the wrong lightsaber.  But odds are your average collector won't notice, so it just looks like Kit Fisto, which is how it should look.  Read on!

Target's Galaxy's Edge Millennium Falcon - In Stock

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 30, 2020

3859 If memory serves the big Millennium Falcon debuted for about $180 in 2008, about 12 years ago, as part of Star Wars: The Legacy Collection.  At the time, we thought it was the final "midnight madness," and possibly the beginning of the end - it wasn't. The ship had ups and downs, and got reissued in Toys R Us-exclusive a few years later was $250 thanks to increases in labor and materials costs.

Click here to check availability at Target.com.  As of right now it is expected to be online only due to cost and size.  Will it go on sale later?  Well, given its high price, we don't have a precedent for knowing the edition size.

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Day at Target - New Droids!

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 30, 2020

3858 A bunch of Galaxys Edge Trading Outpost items are hitting Target stores (and Target.com) today - but a complete list was not made available.   Repacks of the theme park exclusive Commander Pyre, Hondo Ohnaka, and DJ R-3X are joined by all-new Captain Cardinal 6-inch figures.  The big Millennium Falcon is, so far, an online only reissue. There are new roleplay blasters, plushies, and Funko Pop!s too - but what I found the most interesting are these Hasbro Droid Depot figures.  There are 6 of them for $9.99 each under DPCI 087-16-1746.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,720: 4-LOM (Kenner-Deco Zuckuss, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 27, 2020

While maybe not essential, the 4-LOM (Kenner-Deco Zuckuss, The Black Series 6-Inch) sure is a throwback for the original Kenner class of 1982!  The names were swapped and the colors were a bit off, but darned if they don't look amazing.  This 2-pack was shared with Amazon and Hasbro Pulse, and you don't have to share with anyone if you bought it.  It has the same gun as the previous release but it looks like everything is a different enough color where it's worth your while.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,719: Stormtrooper (Carbonzed Graphite, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 25, 2020

The shared exclusive Stormtrooper (Carbonzed Graphite, The Black Series 6-Inch) is not in a big box store near you, but you can order it online from fan-friendly stores or maybe through your local comic or toy shops.   I like it a lot - it's basically a trooper in Phasma colors.   There are a bunch of cool specialized Stormtroopers out there, but this one is shiny so you just have to get it.  Read on!

43 Years Later, Star Wars' First Vehicle Gets a Playset with the Tantive IV

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

3852 This is an interesting one.  Hasbro's Tantive IV playset is a big hallway that can connect with itself so you can expand and make a whole ship - but sadly, there's no actual ship to be had.   There are opening doors and a reissue of the previously released The Vintage Collection Rebel Fleet Trooper with requisite changes, but that's a good thing.  You'll probably want 2-3 of these when they come out very early next year.

It'll be $49.99.  You can order yours at Entertainment Earth, and also Amazon... or the toy sellers that don't kick us back a few pennies or dollars when you click those links and place an order.  So we suggest those links.  It's called bias.

New Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Hondo Ohnaka

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

3849 Previously shown as coming with the $400 Millennium Falcon, this Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Hondo Ohnaka is also available by himself.  Aren't you lucky?  He includes a blaster, and so many stories to tell you. And so many of them are true!

New Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Rogue One Darth Vader

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

3847 Coming from Hasbro, a Darth Vader (Rogue One) The Vintage Collection figure!  It'll go great with that Tantive IV playset you'll be buying by the case to build out a battle scene.  It looks like Vader is mostly - or entirely - new parts, which is unusual these days!  Hasbro also took care to ensure you can see that they are using the correct gloves.  And we glove you, Hasbro.  This looks pretty dynamic and surprisingly spry for a 3 3/4-inch scale figure.

You can order Darth Vader or a full case of his unrevealed wave at Entertainment Earth, or order at Amazon. And those are both affiliate links, so we may get pennies or dollars if you click and buy something.

Walgreens Exclusive Star Wars: The Black Series Clone Trooper Lieutenant

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

3844 In "if this doesn't make you nervous, nothing will" news, Walgreens Exclusive Star Wars: The Black Series Clone Trooper Lieutenant!  This completes the Attack of the Clones quartet of ranking officers and is expected to be in stores next month.  (There are other non-Star Wars Hasbro exclusives coming too... but those haven't been announced yet.)  It's the repaint you expected, and a handy addition to your Clone gaggles.

Star Wars: Celebrate the Saga Amazon Exclusives

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

Not to be outdone are two packs for Amazon.  These are great for your average consumer, but the long-term collector already has most of these.  These are what you'll be buying for Christmas presents to the kids you're going to force Star Wars upon this holiday season.  Best Buy got the villains, and Amazon got the heroes.  As far as I can tell, none of these figures are particularly new other than R2-D2 looks like a different combo platter of parts for you completists.

The figures are largely collected from The Force Awakens, Saga Legends, The Last Jedi.

You can click here to order them from Amazon.com, and yes we do get a few pennies through that affiliate link so please do click it.

Star Wars: Celebrate the Saga Best Buy Exclusives

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

3838 For the Celebrate the Saga line, Hasbro gave Best Buy two exclusive 5-packs for $29.99 a pop.  You can click here to order them if supplies are still available.   The First Order set does not appear to have new figures, but may have deco changes - we'll keep you posted in Figure of the Day as these arrive in the next couple of months.   Its Galactic Empire set does have a new droid redeco which may be of more interest - Hasbro and Disney have done many R2-Q5 figures over the years, but this one looks different, so prepare to shell out some cash.

Click here to check availability.  We are not in an affiiliate program with them so if you want to support the site, click our other affiliate links/advertisers.

Star Wars: Celebrate the Saga to Retire 5POA?

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 23, 2020

3835 Hasbro's Celebrate the Saga collection includes 8 packs.  4 are main line, 2 are for Amazon exclusives, and 2 are Best Buy exclusives.  The pitch I heard was each set has 5-jointed figures and is the last hurrah for the format - at least for now - with 4-5 figures brought back and 0-1 redeco droids.  It looks like they may have enhanced face paint, but it's hard to tell from the photos and I did not hear about it previously.

Each set is due this fall for about $29.99.  Click here to order at affiliate/advertiser Amazon, or click here to order at Entertainment Earth.
