Entertainment Earth Comic Packs Released, Reveal NEW Unannounced Comic Pack

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, November 19, 2010

I got my box of Entertainment Earth Exclusive Comic Packs today (full disclosure: I work there for my day job) and I was surprised to see not only was a bonus helmet included for Baron Fel, but a new, previously unseen comic pack based on Empire Strikes Back movie figures-- including one you might find particularly desirable-- were shown on the back.  While no plans are known for a release date of this item, we have more pics of this unique set (and quick text reviews of the rest) after the jump.

More Photos From Hasbro 2010-2011 Attack of the Clones Bridge Wave

By Adam May — Friday, November 19, 2010

Hasbro has sent over some carded photos of the 2010-2011 "bridge wave" from Attack of the Clones (the last "themed" wave) included in The Vintage Collection. (Missing in action is the Anakin Skywalker (Peasant Disguise) figure, but he'll undoubtedly surface at the last minute to save the day — or something.) What do you think of these modern/retro cardbacks (and logos)? Comment away...

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,418

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, November 19, 2010

Behold, the lost Hoth Rebel Trooper of 2009!  This was the variant Hasbro meant to release but through one reason or another, didn't until this year's big Target exclusive gift sets.  Is this head and hat variant worth your hard-earned cashola?  Read on!

Image Bank: CW36 Quinlan Vos

By Mike — Friday, November 19, 2010

Fan favorite Jedi Quinlan Vos gets his Clone Wars plastic treatment just in time for his recent appearance in the excellent “Hunt for Ziro” episode. Featuring nifty painted tats, a soft goods skirt, and additional hip articulation so that you can pose him nicely on his speederboard, which we assume will be seen in a future episode, Vos will not disappoint.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,417

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, November 18, 2010

Let's look at Luke Skywalker from this past June's Vintage launch.   Would you believe that it actually really is better than the previous one?  Well, it is.  Read on!

Rumor Report: Bom Vimdim, General Lando, Nom Anor

By Mike — Thursday, November 18, 2010

Our friends at Rebelscum have posted a new rumor list of upcoming Vintage Collection figures for waves 6-8. After the master strokes of Wave 3, we can't wait to see what Hasbro has in store for Bom Vimdim, Kithaba, the Rebel Blockade Trooper and others!

Image Bank: VC27 Wicket

By Mike — Thursday, November 18, 2010

The little Ewok warrior gets a superb sculpt upgrade with nice paint detail and includes an additional green cowl as you saw him wear in the Eighties animated series. The scale is also pretty close to where it should be and the superior work done by Hasbro on Wicket and the rest of the ROTJ wave instantly renders previous iterations obsolete. Pick one up, or two, because you'll want to display both cowls for sure!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,416

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, November 17, 2010

I've been throwing up all day so I'll make this brief: Admiral Ackbar is a fantastic figure.  Heck, the whole wave is really excellent-- find out what you're missing when you read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,415

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Another blast from the past, you simply cannot imagine how excited people were when this, the second-ever unique outfit for Darth Maul hit stores in 1999.  I'm sure you can, however, imagine how much that excitement has faded.  Is this a hidden gem?  Read on!

Image Bank: VC26 Rebel Commando

By Mike — Monday, November 15, 2010

Military figures are a big part of Hasbro's DNA. But let's face it, their attempts at Rebels many times fall short. Perhaps it's because Rebel outfits aren't as flashy and sexy as Imperials? Until now. This new Rebel Commando brings promise that an ultimate Tantive IV Trooper is in our near future. With awesome sculpt detail and nice super articulation so you can battle pose him in all sorts of ways, we can only hope that head variants are planned for a later time.

By the way, we're almost sure this headsculpt is of a certain Hasbro Star Wars team sculptor.

Share your thoughts on this new Rebel!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,414

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, November 15, 2010

Today let's look at Palpatine, a figure which has multiple variants, spare parts, and basically just stands there and swings his arm.  Is this a must-buy figure, or should you wait for some super-poseable one in ten years?  Read on!

Image Bank: VC25 R2-D2 UPDATE

By Mike — Monday, November 15, 2010

At last, Bar2-D2 has been upgraded for the 2010 Vintage Collection and he's a real winner with a removable drink tray, sensorscope, and even Luke's lightsaber. He's got an all new sculpt and a retractable third leg too. R2-D2 is hitting store pegs now and we recommend you picking him up along with all the other winners in this wave!

UPDATE: We have added a few additional shots to get a better idea of Hasbro's slightly scaling down this more "accurate" version of our favorite blue astromech. We also thought a gratuitous "Happy Hour" shot wouldn't hurt either. Cheers!
