Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,803

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, May 11, 2012

This 2011 Vintage Anakin Skywalker was a swell remake of the 2002 "peasant" figure that's on the opposite end of the "toy" spectrum when compared to its ancestor.  Read on!

Star Tours Disney Blog Reveals More Parts

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, May 10, 2012

First up, one of our pals on Twitter tweeted us last night that the Star Tours Astromech Droids would run about $12.95 each, or 2 for $18.95.  This article shows more pictures of retooled heads and other changes, and the claim that only the R6, R8, and R9 heads are exclusive is something of a half-truth-- remember, the R5 droids appear to have no antennas this time around, plus all the droids have holes in their head.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,801

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 9, 2012

Far less interesting than the rest of today's news, this is a Clone Trooper exclusive from 2005 when the black splotches were the coolest battle damage on a Clone yet.  How does it hold up 2,000 years later?

Facebook Shot Reveals New Disney Star Tours Astromech Pictures

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 9, 2012

About 20 domes, 10 bodies, and a whole mess of droids were posted to the Star Tours Facebook page.  To date this is the clearest shot of the robots, which gives us a look at the various Mickey Mouse ears, confirmation that Goofy's hat does indeed sport ears, and, of course, this isn't everything.  Other hats, like a very Jack Sparrow-looking pirate hat, were shown in previous preview images so it's a pretty safe bet what you're seeing here isn't the entire line.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,800

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, May 8, 2012

Day 1,800?!? Where has my life gone?  It's time to look at Exar Kun in what may be one of the longest-running daily toy review columns anywhere. So how is this increasingly expensive figure? And just how expensive did he get in the last year or so?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,799

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 7, 2012

It's a new C-3PO!  This recently released Walmart exclusive should be in a store near you around now, and has some pretty amazing paint for a mold from 1999. Check it out!

Image Bank Review: MH20 Darth Vader

By Mike — Sunday, May 6, 2012

"The Force is with you, young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet." This new Movie Heroes action figure, with that light-up lightsaber, captures that scene so amazingly well. It geekily inspired me to load up "Clash of the Lightsabers" on my iPod and photograph him on the POTJ Bespin playset to capture the essence of that scene and…wow...THAT's it. If you're a Vader fan, or even a passing Star Wars fan, you owe it to yourself to pick this figure up.

Image Bank Review: Duel On Naboo Battle Pack

By Mike — Saturday, May 5, 2012

Here are the Nth releases of these characters within the past 4 months that could potentially cause some redundancy and over saturation in retail. From the head up, they're excellent, and you may argue that at least one or two are the best yet. But the 5 points of articulation are causing much menace for a few collectors, especially since these head sculpts are meant for more action.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,798

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, May 4, 2012

This Qui-Gon Jinn figure from 2008ish is basically the basis for most Qui-Gon figures you can buy at a store today.  He's super-articulated and has a robe...

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,797

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, May 3, 2012

For years, fans have been asking Hasbro for the "ceremonial" Han Solo.  This is Hasbro's first 3 3/4-inch attempt... it's adequate, but the shirt is wrong.  Other than that? Well, read on!

Image Bank Review: Bespin Battle Battle Pack

By Mike — Thursday, May 3, 2012

When Hasbro bragged during their speedy presentation at this year's Toy Fair that these new Battle Pack figures are the best they've done of these characters yet, they were somewhat correct... from a certain point of view. The regression in articulation has caused much controversy and debate in the collector community since. Yes, these figures feature excellent sculpting and awful POTF2 era poseability. No, it doesn't have to be this good and that bad.
