It's R5-D8! I know it looks like R5-D4, but it's not. Trust me. This redeco uses a build-a-droid body and creates Jek Porkins' trusty droid in a different paint job than they did for Galactic Heroes.
Not quite as exciting as an all-new astromech, this older Destroyer Droid has limited articulation but a decent sculpt. There's not a lot to it, but it looks good. Want to know more? Read on!
Given the nebulous nature of what constitutes an actual full figure, the Red R9-Series Astromech Droid is more than a little arbitrary. We'll be viewing the Star Tours Droid Factory figures as unique characters, defined by the dome. (The body is, of course, up to you.) This one is bright red, almost orange, with a rich silver texture and a softer sculpt than his brothers. Is it worth the trip and obscene price on eBay?
Let's look at Dagobah Darth Vader. The funny thing about this one, there are two other versions of the "character" but all of them are a little different. Why is this one the best?
This Darth Maul is a lot like another Darth Maul, but it's got a jacket. But no shirt. Why? I have no idea, but here it is so read on.
Check out this Clone Trooper. It's red! There are other ones too, but this one is red. It also has some added panel lining, so it looks good. Read on!
This Power Droid is in stores now, exclusive to Target and an all-new tool. The top comes off! Amazing. Well, it's neat, let's say. Is it worth your while? Read on!
While not the last, this release of Commander Bacara may well be the best. It came in a Battle Pack and has some nice damage deco. Should you get yours? Read on!
Hasbro has provided us with official images of what was revealed at Celebration CVI on Friday for next year's Droid Factory Wave 2, 2013 Clone Wave 1, 2013 Movie Heroes Wave 1, Class I and II Vehicles, and Fighter Pods. Here's the breakdown:
The Galactic Battle Game campaign officially comes to an end in 2012 and will not be included as a pack-in feature for the Movie Heroes and Clone Wars assortments in 2013.
Legacy Collection in 2013 will be including the Build-A-Droid parts for Droid Factory as its pack in and the Movie Heroes and Clone Wars assortment packaged in the new Yoda line look will only include an action figure stand.
You wondered what's underneath that helmet since Comic-Con and here it is, Presenting some loose shots of the new Royal Guard sans helmet and cape. Enjoy!
Remember Durge? Nine years ago, he was revealed as a toy for the very first time and this animated version of the figure came a little bit later. Is he cool?
Stay Class I-ey, Hasbro! Because Hasbro is cool, I got to play with the Class I and Class II 2013 vehicles. You saw some impressions of Class II earlier, and now I get to tell you about the new Mini-Rigs! So read on, and know that I had me a great time.
We've posted photos from today's Hasbro panel and booth. There are a few things to be excited about, including a TRU Vintage Slave I in 2013 and images of new Droid Factory and Clone Wars figures. Not much in terms of exclusives, but a new assortment of down-sized Class II vehicles to make them more affordable for the mommy market will surely cause debate.
TOP STORY: From the bowels of Orlando, it's Hasbro! Since the debut of their booth was packed with previously unveiled items, the level of excitement for the big slideshow was even higher than usual. Armed with a laptop and my pals Mike and Shannon, we aim to bring you not-very-timely information on this grand event.
