There aren't a lot of major characters left un-busted by Gentle Giant, and collectors in the Premiere Guild or attending SDCC in a few weeks will have a shot at the first-ever Jek Porkins Mini Bust!

In a slightly more surprising move, 3D Systems Acquires Gentle Giant Studios.   The press release doesn't really say how (or if) this will alter the proceedings of our favorite collectible statues and busts, but the company 3D Systems is apparently quite interested to enter that realm of the world. More as we have it - although probably not at Toy Fair as Gentle Giant hasn't exhibited there recently.

Gentle Giant allows you the opportunity to recreate that opening Hoth cave scene at 3 times the scale by offering a FREE Jumbo Scale Hoth Luke with every Jumbo Wampa pre-order between October 1 through October 14!

It was BIG news at SDCC and now we have an idea of just how much it's gonna cost. Gentle Giant releases their September solicitations that includes the spectacularly huge and amazing Life Sized Vintage Kenner Stormtrooper! Also announced is the Jumbo Vintage Hoth Rebel Soldier that's slated for release in Q3 2014. Check out all the details ahead!

Gentle Giant came in with all hands on deck for this year's Comic-Con. With 9 exclusives and 4 being Star Wars, GG wanted to make a splash this year. Their other non-Star Wars licenses that include The Walking Dead and their proprietary Honey Trap line are doing phenomenally well. But an assortment that has been steadily growing and gaining more fans is their Jumbo Vintage Kenner line.

Looking for a cool new Padme statue?  It's snow problem.  Gentle Giant has a new, 10 1/2-inch tall full-body Padme Amidala Statue inspired by the "snowbunny" outfit from the original Clone Wars micro series. It's due in Q2 2014 - right after the snow melts - and comes seated on some familiar props.  More after the jump.

Surprise? There is another...Gentle Giant SDCC exclusive. Today's announcement is plenty times awesome, especially for those who are versed in their vintage Kenner history and know that this was only released in Canada and Australia in this packaging format and a Tri-logo card in Europe, but never released in the U.S. (sound familiar 2013 Movie Heroes fans?) The fourth SDCC exclusive is a Jumbo Vintage POTF Yakface complete with coin!

But wait, there's more! Gentle Giant announces a third Star Wars 2013 SDCC/Convention exclusive: McQuarrie Concept C-3PO Minibust! Based on the conceptual art of the great Ralph McQuarrie, the deluxe minibust features two interchangeable heads that represent two different concepts for our favorite golden droid.

Gentle Giant always tends to offer something nifty and desirable for the summer convention exclusives, like their 3D Yoda and Jumbo Blue Snaggletooth from 2012. For 2013's Comic-Con International, the creative artists from Burbank have announced FIVE Comic-Con exclusives (thus far), with two Star Wars offerings that are bound to be on top of your exclusives wishlist.

Gentle Giant announces Zuckuss as the latest addition to their fantastic Jumbo Kenner Figure collection! The 12 inch scale fully articulated recreation of the bounty hunter is slated for release in 2014 and comes blister carded in a Kenner Empire Strikes Back 45 back card.. The Force will be strong in the historic Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco where Super7, Rancho Obi-Wan, the 501st Legion, and a host of others will be putting on a Star Wars Day extravaganza filled with exhibition of rare merchandise, exclusives, and giveaways.

The event takes place between 11 am to 7 am this Saturday, May 4th at the Super7 store located at 1427 Haight Street, San Francisco.
