A screening of Black Angel, a George Lucas-funded short 25-minute film tied to The Empire Strikes Back in some overseas markets, is getting a screening next month after being lost since 1980.  It's an Arthurian legend-inspired piece and Ars Technica has a 3-page story on this Lucasfilm-adjacent project.

The news just keeps rolling out, and you can only imagine die hard Star Wars fans shaking and blowing up their heads in Scanner like fashion because things they have long wished for look to be coming to fruition. Entertainment Weekly reported today that Lucasfilm is planning on Boba Fett and Han Solo to star in their character focused spin-offs.

All lens flare diatribes aside, J.J. Abrams seems like the best choice to helm and direct the sequel trilogy. If you think about it, the Star Trek reboot in terms of tone, dialogue, pace, and atmosphere, was closer to a classic Star Wars film. You can easily see the same dynamic between Kirk, Spock, and Uhura as you would with Luke, Han, and Leia.
