Almost the greated Darth Vader figure ever conceived is in today's Figure of the Day! The Episode III 2014 incarnation is so, so close - but the head falls off really easily.  The bend-and-swivel wrists, rocker ankles, and ball-jointed torso are perfection.  The ball-jointed hips? Wonderous. The sculpt is pretty good too - but if you turn the head, the helmet falls right off.  Still, diorama fans should snag it and carded fans too.  Read on!  (Also order yours at Entertainment Earth.)

So, ready for a new General Grievous?  I was! This one is tall, and that's great.  He stays standing unassisted longer than his predecessor, but the Mission Series figure will still topple over in a matter of hours.   As such, he'll need a doll stand - but he fits in the Grievous' Starfighter vehicle, and looks pretty fantastic.  Should you get one?  Read on!

Another one! This Obi-Wan Kenobi (Mission Series Utapau) is a tiny bit different from the normal release - probably not enough for most people to notice, so like Darth Vader you may wish to skip it unless you want that pretty cool - and huge - General Grievous from the 2-pack.  Read on!

If you like Bespin, you'll probably dig Luke Skywalker from the Mission Series.  Sure, it comes with a Darth Vader you probably own - but this Luke has 5 joints and a working holster!  It ain't bad - it could use yellower hair, but you can't get lemon-headed figures all the time I guess.  Read on!

This Darth Vader was packaged with Luke in a Bespin Mission Series 2-pack.  It's virtually identical to a 2013 release, save for some of the chest sculpting and other batch variances.  The Luke ain't bad, but he's tomorow - read on to find out more about Darth Vader!

Oh... yeah!  Figure of the Day is back with Darth Sidious, a simultaneously fantastic and weird take on the Sith Lord from the most recent Star Wars movie which, at 9 years old, means we're all dying. Slowly.   It's a fun figure, particularly the split robe pants - these are just fantastic.  Read on!

Rounding out this week's Figure of the Day special run is a Snowtrooper Commander!  It has a great sculpt, a ton of articulation, and two weapons - you can't beat it!  Well, maybe you can, but it would be tough.  Check it out, and read on!

A new character!  It's Toryn Farr, who is like Uhura with slightly less to do.  The Hoth hero here has headphones and a cool blaster.  Her build is basically 2010 Hoth Leia, with a new head, new vest, new hands, and new forearms.  You're going to love it - even if you don't think you need it,  you totally do.  Read on!

If you're looking for a figure that aspires to give you 1980 engineering with 2014 prices and sculpting, Yoda is it! The new The Black Series 3 3/4-inch figure has a cane, flute, coat, belt, and backpack while somehow only having 5 points of articulation at about $11.   It fits in his backpack just fine, and the jacket needs some fidgeting - but is it good otherwise?  Read on!

And we're back!  This new Luke Skywalker figure is shipping now if you ordered online somewhere like our sponsors at Entertainment Earth.   It has more articulation than nearly any other Star Wars figure at this size, and has quite the accessory pool.   It even looks better than some of the early promo images - but is it worth tracking down during the summer heat?  Read on!

Rounding out the new foursome from the great white north, the Snowtrooper is one of those figures you'll be mad you can't get more of.   The split "skirt" lets him sit, but the wide sculpt may make it difficult to cram him in certain vehicles - but he's perfect for filling out your AT-AT's cargo hold.

From Canada, with love!  This new Darth Maul is in stores now - there, not here - and is an all-new sculpt with a flared blade on the lightsaber, if you keep tabs on such things.  He can fit in the Sith Infiltrator vehicle, stand, and fight.  Can you ask for more? Probably, but you won't get it for the price.  Read on!

We're back! (A Dinosaur's story.)  This Obi-Wan Kenobi is today's Star Wars Figure of the Day!  It just hit Canada and, so far, seemingly nowhere else.  This wave's absence from store shelves and online pre-sells is conspicuous so far, but thankfully a kind soul managed to help me get a set to show all of you. 

It's hiatus time again! But first - meet Merumeru, a Wookiee warrior that is a stunningly great improvement over previous Wookiee warriors.  At first glance I thought it was a tweaked version of a previous figure, but I was wrong!  It's really good.  Go get one. Read on.
