Figure of the Day

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,496: Qi'ra (Corellia, Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, July 5, 2018

This Qi'ra (Corellia, Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look) is pretty great - the skirt doesn't prevent her from sitting in Han's speeder, plus she has swivel wrists.  It's something you should buy before it goes away.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,495: Moloch (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, July 2, 2018

One of the few new alien figures from Solo is Moloch - and he fits right in with your classic figures.  With a staff, a blaster, and a removable mask, this is a gem.  As one of the White Worms, there's a tail under the robes.  Its a heck of a cool design, and I'm seeing this one out and about a bit more lately.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,494: Kessel Guard (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, June 27, 2018

The Kessel Guard is pretty cool - the helmet looks like a kitchen appliance, the arms remind me of Chirrut Imwe, and it's just generally very Star Warsy.   Plus it comes with Lando, so you should get one.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,493: Lando Calrissian (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, June 25, 2018

It's Lando Calrissian!  He's from a 2-pack in the Solo line that seems to be selling pretty well right now - but you can probably find it if you make a couple of stops on your next toy hunt.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,491: Power Droid (Wind-Up Fight Droids, Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, June 20, 2018

From Disney, the Power Droid (Wind-Up Fight Droids) is pretty big - it might be too big, but it's neat.  It walks and swings its arms with all the precision of the windmill.   It's $9.95 for both figures, so it's plenty cheap.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,491: Luke Skywalker (Hoth, The Last Jedi / Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, June 18, 2018

Despite the fact that nobody seems to be talking about them, the Solo line has been pretty fantastic.  The Luke Skywalker (Hoth, The Last Jedi / Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)  has a great sculpt with deco that's good, but not perfect, compared to other releases.  (Gloves, rank badge.)  It also has the best ever Wampa.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,490: Range Trooper (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, June 13, 2018

It's small! The 3 3/4-inch Range Trooper (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)  has big boots, fake fluff, and a blaster.  I like it.   I'd like to see some more.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,489: Chewbacca (Vandor, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, June 11, 2018

It's Chewbacca!  This 6-inch scale figure from Solo: A Star Wars Story is exclusive to Target and probably in stock at a store near you.  That DPCI is 087-06-9531.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,488: K-2SO (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, June 6, 2018

It's more or less just different enough to make you mad! The K-2SO (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)  has a sound chip and slightly  better antenna on the back - but it's functionally very similar.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,487: Captain Phasma (First Order Disguise, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, June 4, 2018

Captain Phasma (First Order Disguise, The Last Jedi Line Look)  was meant for a main line release, but ended up almost not coming out - instead, you can find it as an Entertainment Earth exclusive.   She has a staff, a backpack, a cape, a blaster, and Finn too.   I love how both arms are pre-posed to hold either weapon, plus they painted her arms silver rather than molding them in a not-matching swirly color.  It's nice.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,486: Chewbacca (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 30, 2018

Hopefully you saw the movie, because today we look at Chewbacca (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)!  This awesome figure has a unique bandolier and a decent paint job.   And it's probably sold out at a store near you.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,485: Wampa (with Luke Skywalker, Solo/The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 28, 2018

Packaged in a red and white box with The Last Jedi hues but shipping in the Solo assortments, the most-articulated Wampa yet is out in the Force Link 2.0 assortments - but at press time, the app and Force Link band require an as-of-yet unpublished firmware update to make it talk.  (We got one update to get most toys working, this one still doesn't.)   There are a lot of weird, wrong things about the toy's sound chip and box, but the jointed knees and elbows will get you your best Wampa yet.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,484: Supreme Leader Snoke (The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 23, 2018

One of the more highly-requested figures after The Force Awakens came out, Supreme Leader Snoke has had a pretty good recent run as action figures.   This one has a cloth outfit and a generous slathering of articulation, and it's also the only completely new figure in the new 2018 The Vintage Collection so far.   As such, you're probably on your way to buy one.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,483: Finn (First Order Disguise, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 21, 2018

I'm a fan of this Finn, in part because it's exclusive where I work and in stock right now.  He has a great sculpt, a good costume, and above par accessories - and the voice clips are actually him.  Sure, some are from another movie, but it's something.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,482: Kylo Ren (with display base and metal helmet, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 16, 2018

The long-delayed Kylo Ren (with display base and metal helmet, The Black Series 6-Inch)  hit a few weeks ago, and it's surprisngly decent.  He has a metal helmet and a cloth cape, and if that weren't enough there's also a display base that can connect to Snoke's throne.   It's a lot of plastic, and you're charged accordingly.  Is it worth it? Read on!
