Exclusive to Entertainment Earth in the USA, this C'ai Threnalli (The Last Jedi Line Look) has a sound chip and a really slick paint job - and they're in stock for ordering right now. He has a little more articulation than I expected, too. Read on!
She's new! Delayed from The Last Jedi, this Maz Kanata (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look) looks the same but has the revised 2.0 Force Link chip. If you got The Force Awakens Maz, you've basicaly got this figure - except the accessories. Read on!
Dead figures are a rarity in Star Wars, but soaking wet dog people? That's new. The Chewbacca (Mimban) figure is specifically from a scene in Solo: A Star Wars Story in which Han meets the Wookiee for the very first time, introduced to him as "The Beast." The figure is covered in mud and looks like a cross between the scary monster we first see in the film, and the friendly furball we have known for our entire lives. Read on!
I really am impressed by Han Solo (Mimban) as it's a good example of Hasbro using the medium. The muddy figure is molded in mostly one color, with a tiny hint of a wash to bring out more definition. The texture is good, the color is spot-on, and the likeness... well, it isn't perfect. But using environmental-based decoration to smooth over paint applications (or negate them completely) is creative as it gets. Read on!
This The Last Jedi figure didn't make it out to stores, but a small run did get built for Entertainment Earth. The double-handed First Order Flametrooper (The Last Jedi Line Look) has some color and deco changes, making it a better troop-builder than its The Force Awakens brothers and/or sisters. Read on!
Today! The Mimban Stormtrooper (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look) is dirty, but that's how we like it. We've known Stormtroopers were on Mimban for decades, but this is the first time we've seen them. Read on!
We don't usually post non-Hasbro, non-Star Wars figures but this one was special. Onell Design and I kicked around a couple of ideas and now you can have an indie figure tribute to Droids Vlix! It's Vlixden, a $10 3-inch figure going on sale at Onell.store come 9:30 PM EDT tonight. It's cool - it's Vlix! The special design has the little kerchief and eyebrow, plus the color scheme. It's not Vlix, but it's the closest and I believe only thing that has come close this century. I love it. Read on!
This Luke Skywalker (Jedi Master) is from Solo - and it's almost the same as The Last Jedi. There's a different sound chip which is still not Mark Hamil, and there's a green Force Link symbol on the foot. Otherwise, it's arguably not different enough to warrant a mention. Read on!
One of the few new alien figures from Solo is Moloch - and he fits right in with your classic figures. With a staff, a blaster, and a removable mask, this is a gem. As one of the White Worms, there's a tail under the robes. Its a heck of a cool design, and I'm seeing this one out and about a bit more lately. Read on!
The Kessel Guard is pretty cool - the helmet looks like a kitchen appliance, the arms remind me of Chirrut Imwe, and it's just generally very Star Warsy. Plus it comes with Lando, so you should get one. Read on!
It's Lando Calrissian! He's from a 2-pack in the Solo line that seems to be selling pretty well right now - but you can probably find it if you make a couple of stops on your next toy hunt. Read on!
From Disney, the Power Droid (Wind-Up Fight Droids) is pretty big - it might be too big, but it's neat. It walks and swings its arms with all the precision of the windmill. It's $9.95 for both figures, so it's plenty cheap. Read on!
Despite the fact that nobody seems to be talking about them, the Solo line has been pretty fantastic. The Luke Skywalker (Hoth, The Last Jedi / Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look) has a great sculpt with deco that's good, but not perfect, compared to other releases. (Gloves, rank badge.) It also has the best ever Wampa. Read on!
It's small! The 3 3/4-inch Range Trooper (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look) has big boots, fake fluff, and a blaster. I like it. I'd like to see some more. Read on!
