Figure of the Day

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,676: C-3PO (& Chewbacca, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 26, 2020

It's C-3PO! This original trilogy-specific version is dirty and has removable limbs - this is probably the Version To Get, if such things matter to you.  Assuming this Amazon Exclusive is still available to you at a price that you want to pay.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,675: IG-11 (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 24, 2020

You know him, you love him, you know he's not quite accurate to the TV show.  But IG-11 (The Black Series 6-Inch) is pretty great - the deco is phenomenal, the bandoliers are good, but the hands and a few other details aren't quite right.  He can stand and hold his blasters, though.  Is it good enough to buy?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,674: R6-LE5 (Droid Factory Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 19, 2020

If you like blue things with fake dirt, try R6-LE5.  Available at the now-closed Disney theme parks, this astromech is part of a The Rise of Skywalker droid set that I hope you did or can get.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,673: BB-8 (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 17, 2020

From last year's line, the BB-8 (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch) is a cute, big-eyed droid and part of a 3-pack with R2-D2 and D-O.  Retail stores cleared them out but you can still get them online!  Read on.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,672: Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 12, 2020

A new head and a new cape aren't a lot to go on, but Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (The Black Series 6-Inch)  turned out pretty well.  The red lines are nifty and the cape hangs well - with two optional hoods.  Is it any good? Yes! Do you need it?  Maybe! Read on.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,671: R5-2JE (Droid Factory Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 10, 2020

From the Disney parks, it's a R5-2JE (Droid Factory Line Look.)  Disney's four pack of droids make up a good chunk of the 3 3/4-inch The Rise of Skywalker offering, so hey, go get one.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,670: The Mandalorian (Carbonized Graphite, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 5, 2020

Target's exclusive The Mandalorian (Carbonized Graphite, The Black Series 6-Inch) has been in short supply, but a new run started to show up a few weeks ago. I hope you found yours, because the silver elements look fantasticRead on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,669: Sith Jet Trooper (The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 3, 2020

It's red and small! The Sith Jet Trooper (The Vintage Collection) is one of the enemies at the end of the very popular non-playable video game The Rise of Skywalker, and comes complete with two blasters and a jet pack you can't remove.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,668: R2-SHP (Droid Factory Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 27, 2020

From the Disney parks, the blue R2-SHP (Droid Factory Line Look) looks like his R6 companion - but it's a cool colorway.  I can't remember where this Resistance droid was in the movie, but it looks super cool - and after hundreds of astromechs, that's almost more important.  Silver and black and some fake dirt cover the blue chassis with a glossy black eye and a lot of personality.  Do you need it?  No, but it's cool enough to buy if you see it at the right price.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,667: D-O (Droid Factory Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 25, 2020

He's tine and has a stand!  D-O (Droid Factory Line Look) is a Disney parks item - not a Hasbro item - but it's scale to your Hasbro 3 3/4-inch figures.  After Rise of Skywalker had multiple scales of figures, none of which contained all three of the core main heroes, it only makes sense that you had to go to another manufacturer for the decent main driver robot which, it turned out, was a pretty minor character.  I like it.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,666: BB Unit (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 20, 2020

Something old, something blue, this BB Unit (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory Line Look)  has it all!  White when warm and blue when cold, you can get your fingerprints all over this guy in a cold room. It's a fun play feature.  Do you need it?  No, but... you kind of do. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,665: First Order Elite Snowtrooper (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 18, 2020

New?  A lot of the late 2019 exclusives were deco changes or accessory changes, and this First Order Elite Snowtrooper (The Black Series 6-Inch)  was a bit of both. Available individually or in a mystery box crate, this clearanced-out Target exclusive took a 2015 First Order Snowtrooper and added a cloak. And some paint.  I wasn't excited about it at full price, but the gift set's hat, pin, and comic made a nice gift set when it was marked down. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,664: Babu Frik (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 13, 2020

The one, the only, the Babu Frik (The Black Series 6-Inch) is who we're looking at today.  I don't assume they can or will make a 3 3/4-inch scale one, so this larger-scale (but tiny) figure is the best bet you've got right now.  Is it worth it? Will you lose it in the couch? Read on!

Star Wars Review: D-O (& Rey, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 6, 2020

D-O (& Rey, The Black Series 6-Inch) is technically an accessory, but less technically, he's really hard to get to stand up properly compared to other versions of the figure.   He's a got a little dirt, though, and articulated hair antenna things on the back. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,661: C-3PO (& Babu Frik, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 4, 2020

This 6-inch C-3PO includes Babu Frik... and Chewbacca's signature gear.   Promising chaos and action, the figure was ultimately more interesting than its scenes in The Rise of Skywalker, but hey, we've always got our imaginations.  The Target exclusive is most likely long gone at your local stores, but if you can find it I would recommend it.  Read on!
