Whatever you think he comes from, the design docs make sure Imperial Stormtrooper (The Mandalorian/Rogue One, The Black Series 6-Inch) covers a couple of bases.  It's a new mold! There's.... an unfinished head under the helmet? The articulation is closer to that of a very good 3 3/4-inch figure. And you  will want dozens.  Read on!

Now there's a droid of a different color! Possibly at Target near you right now, the  Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,737: BB-Series Droid (BB-8-style droid, purple body and purple head) is, more or less, the same as the other droids in his wave - but purple! That's usually reason enough for me to get one.  Read on!

Two heads and is better than one name!  The nameless R2-Series Astromech Droid (Red and Silver Markings with Bonus R5 Series White Dome with Red and Silver Markings) will be a pain in the neck to get on eBay when there's no name on the box - so go get yours now.  It looks similar to other droids, but with slight changes to detail.  R5's dome lacks the pinstriping, for example.  Read on!

This swell Zuckuss (Kenner-Deco 4-LOM, The Black Series 6-Inch) came out a few months ago and is close to Kenner colors.  It has a red swoosh the original didn't, and there's a lack of silvery silver in the torso.  It's still neat.   Read on!

What's red and white and blue all over? The BB-Series Droid (BB-9-style droid head, BB-8-blue body and white head)!  It's at Target now, if you can find the display, which I believe you can.  I like this one a lot.  Read on!

And we continue the droid watch with BB-Series Droid (BB-8-style droid, white body and red head) - in theory, in Targets now in little blue boxes.   It's the BB-9E body with BB-8's head and new colors.  It also vaguely resembles something from WWI, which I assume was unintentional.  Read on!

The nameless figure we are identifying as a R3-Series Astromech Droid (R3-Series, Clear Dome, Black Body with Orange Highlights) may be on an endcap at Target near you right now as part of a Galaxy's Edge campaign.  I think this is my favorite one in the batch - clear dome, flame gets, Halloweeny colors.  Also it's ten bucks, which is splitting the difference between this mold when it appears on The Vintage Collection cardbacks for about $13 and when it shows up in ForceLink-esque packaging.  Read on!

If you missed the original in 2010, this Wicket (Ewok Redux, The Vintage Collection) is worth a look.  The deco has been changed, the accessories are tweaked a bit, and it still has the green season 2 cartoon cowl.  (It would've been awesome if the recolored it to match season 1 this time, but such is life.)  Is it worth buying? Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios (The Black Series 6-Inch) is available now - but it's not in big box stores, as it's a fan channel exclusive. What does that mean? Order it online, or ask if your local comic shop has it.  It's big and cool, but it's $10 more than a regular figure.  Is it worth it?  Read on!

There are two releases of this Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper, The Vintage Collection) - last year's was in a 3-pack for SDCC, and this year's is on a cardback as pictured.  The blasters are a tiny bit different.  The head sculpts are new for these releases, while the Stormtrooper  body is pretty old.  Is it worth it?  Well, it's better than the last one. Check out Clone Commander Wolffe (The Vintage Collection)!  There are new parts, there are old parts, and there's a great new head sculpt in there with the scarred eye.   If you see it, go ahead and get one.  Or order online, as that is the way these things are done now.   Read on!
