Yakface.com reports that Hasbro has assigned a date of June 1st for the release of the ToysRUs exclusive Vintage Collection Endor AT-AT. Of course, given Hasbro's recent history with dates and releases, a caveat emptor applies.
The May the 4th LEGO exclusive for this year is good. Receive a FREE Hoth Han "Brown Coat" Solo in minifigure with a LEGO purchase of $75 or more. The minifigure plays on the much debated "Brown/Blue" coloring of Han's parka from The Empire Strikes Back.
Here's a video review of a brand-new item that, 24 hours ago, I didn't even know was coming out. The Target Exclusive Special Edition Yoda Tin Star Wars Fighter Pods Set is in stores right now and features Yoda, Darth Sidious, and a ton of Clones and Battle Droids in this Kashyyyk-themed set. It's also the first new exclusive item to hit retail stores in quite some time. For $24.99, it includes 18 figures, 4 pods, a Spinfire Launcher, and a tin. And you can see me talk about these Revenge of the Sith-themed mini-figures after the jump.
The 2010 AT-AT was released to much fanfare and acclaim for its larger size, cool electronic action features, and movie inspired playability that outshone the older and oft used Kenner mold. A ToysRUs exclusive Vintage Collection Empire Strikes Back packaged version was also released during the holiday season of that year, and quickly sold out at a $110 pricepoint.
It's definitely the best Star Wars 3.75 inch vehicle Hasbro has ever produced and nicely repackaged Vintage style for ToysRUs and the holidays. But at $250, which is $100 more than when it was first released four years ago ($149.99), collectors will have to dig deeper in their pockets this time around. That's a lot of upcharge for packaging.
The exclusive AT-ST Crew and Ewok Scout Action Figure Sets are now available online for $14.99 each. Both are temporarily out of stock at the moment but keep checking back for restock since online is the only alternative for collectors in several geographic areas.
Arguably one of the more interesting TIE Fighter pilot names, Mauler Mithel came from, if my abacus is truthful, Decipher's customizable card game. The pilot is notable with his rubbed helmet symbol and... pilot-ness.
Ad: It's time for another Entertainment Earth Exclusive! The EE Exclusive Star Wars Scout Trooper Ewok Attack Maquette sports one of the Empire's finest being attacked by three of Endor's furriest, recreating the end of the Galactic Civil War with four characters in a single statue.
Given the nebulous nature of what constitutes an actual full figure, the Red R9-Series Astromech Droid is more than a little arbitrary. We'll be viewing the Star Tours Droid Factory figures as unique characters, defined by the dome. (The body is, of course, up to you.) This one is bright red, almost orange, with a rich silver texture and a softer sculpt than his brothers. Is it worth the trip and obscene price on eBay?
The K-Mart exclusive Vintage Collection Scout Walker (AT-ST) is now available online for $34.99 each. Online is the best way to get this vehicle for many collectors since K-Mart lacks presence in few areas.
The sold out at the show Sideshow Celebration VI exclusive Sixth Scale Commander Ganch is now available online! The price is $124.99 each.
Do you have what it takes to make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs? See if you can track down this unique patch set available exclusively at Celebration VI! Six members of the Washington DC Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) have joined forces to create its first ever puzzle patch set, which when assembled represents the shape of the Millennium Falcon. The set is approved by Lucasfilm as an exclusive for Celebration VI and is strictly limited to 300 sets.
