Another costume licensor! C2E2 allowed Anovos to debut its Star Wars wares after it put out some top-notch gear from Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. Previously Windlass Studios put out some top-notch costumes for Padme, Anakin, and others. Anovos has shown Luke Skywalker's Bespin togs from The Empire Strikes Back, some high-end Revenge of the Sith Clone Trooper armor, Han Solo's holster from the original Star Wars, and the prototype for their first Darth Vader costume.
According to NYMag.com, the pants that Mark Hamill wore in the bulk of the original Star Wars movie just sold at auction for a whopping $36,100! The auction listing at NateDSanders.com shows that they were, in fact, dirty Levi's. Who knew?
While Halloween costumes are always a little wonky, and anything labeled "sexy" is suspect, I've just gotta share this link being passed around with this year's batch of sexy costumes. Spandex versions of Darth Talon (pictured, complete with awesomely goofy hat), Asajj Ventress, Darth Vader, Ahsoka Tano, a Stormtrooper, and others are on display at Costume Craze.
Proving that Lucasfilm was in an era that would license absolutely anything, here's a Dewback Dog Costume. This is apparently a real thing, and I for one am appalled. We used to be in a marketplace where the line had a little more integrity than this. I can only imagine how humiliated that dog will be when his labradoodle neighbor mocks him for having a Stormtrooper on his back instead of a Sandtrooper.
