The Clone Wars

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Fugitive

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 17, 2014

The Clone Wars on Netflix on Galactic Hunter Video Theater continues with: Fugitive, which comes complete with the same scenery as last week, with even more Clones and flying whales and reminders of that final prequel. It's a lot more fun than the last episode, if for no reason other than to see a clone play detective. The whole "soldier" rhetoric wears thin, but it's a good time so read on!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Conspiracy

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 13, 2014

Galactic Hunter Video Theater continues season six of The Clone Wars on Netflix. This week's episode: Conspiracy, where all of the high-flying action from last week is tossed out in favor of basically telling you what you already knew. At least we meet a cool little robot, right? Read on!

The Clone Wars - Chronological Episode Order Revealed

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 11, 2014

What? Finally!  After years of speculation, the actual order of the episodes of The Clone Wars has been revealed by Lucasfilm's Leland Chee on the Twitter.   Want to know which order you need to watch these episodes in?  Well, maybe you shouldn't have ended that sentence with a preposition, but we still have the answer after the jump.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Unknown

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 10, 2014

We're back? I'm surprised too! Welcome to the temporary return of Galactic Hunter Video Theater as we look at the encore of The Clone Wars on Netflix. This week's story: The Unknown, in which exposition happens and fan-favorite Admiral Trench returns! We'll look at one episode per week until supplies (or authors) are exhausted, so let's dive back into the prequel era for what may well be one final round of stories.

13 Unaired Clone Wars Episodes Hitting Netflix March 7

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 13, 2014

A whopping 13 unaired Season Six episodes of The Clone Wars will be airing on Netflix, so says the rumor-mongers of StarWars.com.  I believe this is a first for a current TV show - to burn off the episodes on the streaming service - as is the bonus of "director's cut" episodes of seasons 1-5 sweetening the pot.  (Unless you bought all the Blu-Rays like me, of course.) Click here to read the announcement.

Clone Wars Season 6 Final Arc Getting Comic Adaptation

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, January 8, 2014

That's Maul, Folks!  According to Newsarama, the arc focusing on Darth Maul's final showdown with Darth Sidious may be seeing release on paper before the animation - assuming it gets/got finished - shows up.  Numerous unaired episodes of The Clone Wars are supposedly awaiting some sort of release, but while we wait Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir will give us another look at Mother Talzin, Maul, and whatever the heck is next on deck for that insanely fun storyline that started in seasons 4 and 5.

Clone Wars Season 5 Blu-Ray and DVD: Coming Soon

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, August 3, 2013

It's coming! Season 5 of The Clone Wars will be out on DVD and Blu-Ray.  Not only will it be sold in a set by itself, but a better, much cheaper Blu-Ray of all 5 seasons is coming to penalize those of us that bought the sets along the way.

StarWars.com: A New Direction For Lucasfilm Animation

By Mike — Monday, March 11, 2013

Whether it be action figures or animated television series, the tea leaves certainly pointed to the inevitability of change and the ever evolving dynamic of the Disney acquisition and new films. In a further effort to focus their attention and resources to those new films, StarWars.com announces the future of The Clone Wars and Star Wars Detours.

You might have heard that the show is the best thing ever. You might have heard it's an unwatchable mess. The truth lay somewhere in the middle. Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Wrong Jedi

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 5, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Events are shown to have actual consequences with The Wrong Jedi. Like last season's final arc, we see events actually cause big changes to the Clone Wars storyline, with actual weight, things that matter, and a reason to tune in for a change. Also, Tim Curry is this week's surprise guest voice. HUGE spoilers and video after the break.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - To Catch a Jedi

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 26, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Ahsoka is on the run some more in "To Catch a Jedi." Unlike many episodes of the series, this one is actually really exciting, giving us a chance to look at the lower levels of Coruscant (and we get so close to level 1313) as we get glimpses into just who (probably) really did set up the Jedi temple bombing a couple of weeks ago. While we don't meet many new characters, old familiar faces are back and will continue to make you mad that Hasbro isn't making more toys of these designs. Spoilers and video after the break.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Jedi Who Knew Too Much

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 19, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Ahsoka the fugitive in "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much." Arguably the best-looking episode of the series, this week we see breathtaking chases through pre-Imperial corridors and the streets of Coruscant. Recalling numerous films focused around cases of mistaken identity, Ahsoka has been framed. Admiral Tarkin is here. And oh, so many Shocktroopers! Spoilers and video after the break.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Sabotage

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, February 17, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Let's ape the police procedural in "Sabotage." The Jedi Temple is attacked, and even the Jedi are suspects. Call in Anakin, Ahsoka, and the David Caruso Robot to investigate! This story kicks off what we are told is the final arc of an abridged season, although to be honest, the storyline could probably end right here and you wouldn't miss much. (And this one is a little late thanks to Toy Fair, but we'll have the next installment in a couple of days.) As always, video and spoilers await you after the jump!

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Lawless

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 5, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Scream at the heavens over the amazing stuff that you'll see in "The Lawless." Resolving many loose threads and justifying a few previous fairly dull episodes, this week's installment brings back a variety of familiar faces while giving fans (and especially fanboys) a Mandalorian battle so spectacular that it should have been held back for the series finale. While the D-Squad arc mixed adventure with a bit of an existential crisis, this series Darth Maul's arc (seemingly) wraps up reminding you that the saga is still quite capable of punching you in the gut and killing off a major player if it feels it necessary. If you watch only one episode this year, make it this one. I don't care if you hate this show. You're a Star Wars fan and you need to see this. More (as in spoilers) after the break.

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Shades of Reason

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, January 29, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: All those boring corruption-on-Mandalore episodes act as backstory to the highly-entertaining "Shades of Reason." While not as overstuffed and crazy as last week's installment, you probably get more Mandlorian armored action than you've ever seen in a single televised installment of the show plus a major change in the Mandalorian political hierarchy. (It's entertaining, I promise.) More after the break.
