If you picked up a Force Link bracelet in the Starter Set, BB-8 Playset, or Toys R Us you might have been trying to give it a shot by placing the reader up against the blue symbol on your figures' feet.
Do not do this.
The chip for the sounds is not located in the figures' feet, but rather in their torso. If you consult the instruction sheet, you'll notice that it shows the illustration of a hand gripping the figure by the body - which is how you're going to get your best results. Similarly, the chips in the vehicles and creatures are not necessarily where the blue Force Link symbol may indicate and you'll want to try a few things to get them in just the right position. Sometimes it's logical, and in some cases - like the Resistance Ski Speeder - it's placed perfectly with the vehicle's natural handle.
The glossy Vendor Droid (Black, Droid Factory) is available in Flordia now, and it's pretty sharp. It's shiny, it's not something we've seen in a movie or TV show yet, and it looks like it could belong on the Death Star playset you'll probably never get. But I digress. Read on!
Let's look at Rogue One's Galen Erso, a figure you never saw in stores. Maybe you ordered it online - if so, good on you. You got a mouse droid, a zipline, and a blaster. That ain't bad. Read on!

In stores now, maybe, Clone Commander Gree (The Black Series) is cool. The colors aren't a perfect match to the movie or previous figures, but there are newly-tooled pieces and you want to be careful that the antenna doesn't fall out of his backpack. Read on!
Today: let's look at the not-common-enough Imperial Royal Guard (The Black Series) 6-inch action figure! It's really cool - and the helmet isn't removable. You do get armor under the robes, so custom Kir Kanos figures can't be far behind. Read on!
The 6-inch The Black Series Captain Rex will be available early at HasCon! And apparently you can also buy Headmaster Arcee, a Power Bank Optimus Prime, new Magic: The Gathering cards, and some other items that may or may not be shared or to be fully announced. Take a look at R5-S9 (Droid Factory), it's blue! The colors don't match the show perfectly, but it's also not an animated figure. You can find this The Clone Wars-inspired robot at Disney theme parks in a 4-pack, and of course we're going to look at them all. Read on!
From the Disney parks, it's R5-P8 (Droid Factory)! It has a gun, lots of painted dirt, and a cartoony monster face on it. It's brilliant. You should get one. Read on!
If you recall last year, Hasbro didn't announce its Jyn Erso exclusive until San Diego Comic-Con-goers were already on the ground. This year, we may (because it wasn't officially announced yet) be seeing this Star Wars: The Black Series Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and Jedi In Training Rey 2-pack as seen on the Jedi Insider today. It hasn't been officially announced at all, but it does look a lot like official Hasbro photography. More as we have it!
