Anyone else prefer the micro machine collections?

Does anyone else prefer the micro machine collections? I certainly love the larger stuff but when I was a kid, i LOVED all the micro machine stuff. I am in the process of building the collections of my 6 nephews and it has been fun strolling down memory lane.

The micro-machines I did collect for a while. Still love them. They where the first 'NEW' Star Wars toys I bought back in 1994 cause I had no interest in the Bendums.

I think I liked them b/c of the "scenes." You can get scenes that you just can't and won't get with the bigger toys. You could have entire scenes and basically act out the movie or obviously make your own stories etc.

I also loved the green army men so the micro machines were basically Star Wars version of the little green army men...but obviously better.

I collected all of these back then, but now as I look at everything I've amassed over the last 17 years (not counting my childhood vintage toys), I just shake my head. Obviously we had no way of knowing how much product would be made over the years, but I really wish I wouldn't have felt so compelled to get (nearly) everything along the way. So. Many. Toys.

The Death Star is still my favorite micro machine, not the small one, the big one.

I am still finding tiny little pilots among other random toys in my unsorted boxes. The AT-AT micro
machine is one of my favorites
