The "button" is back today. It shows next to a post with new replies. Not sure if you did anything, but thanks!
This can only be explained by one thing.....MAGIC.

I've noticed that if you go into a sub-forum with multiple threads with new replies, click on the button for one thread, then go back to the sub-forum, the button disappears for all threads. Not sure what can be done to fix that.
