    Black Friday Deals?

So, who all went out and braved the Black Friday crowds?

I hit up Walmart last night and scavenged the Blurays and DVD's. I picked up Little Red Riding Hood, Goldfinger, Get Him To The Greek, and Shelock Holmes: Game of Shadows. How about you guys? Anyone camp outside?

I snagged a few of the SW & Cap/IM/Thor 8 packs for me & one of my friends as well as a pair of jeans for another friend & a sweatshirt for me. Also got Despicalbe Me for a third friend (plus Cap & Thor BD-DVD combos for said friend for X-Mas) & Hellboy II ($4) & Arthur Christmas ($9) for myself.

And today me & said third friend went to Marion for a walkabout. Picked up LEGO LotR for the Wii for $35 at Target as well as Animal House for $4 (rang up $6 but it was in the $4 display so they gaveit to me for that) as well as the Xanadu Blood/Plo Koon fighter pack at TRU, still on sale for $20. My buddy snagged Sin & Punishment 2 for the Wii for $15 at TRU & a Bob Marley film for $13 at Target.

Not a bad weekend so far. Hell, I was in & out of WM on Thanksgiving in under an hour & that was at 8PM.
It is more suspensful when you don't know what's going on.

I did some shopping around 2am on Friday. I hit Wal-Mart, Target, and TRU, and there weren't many shoppers. I was able to get a few Blurays, three Mando Transport value packs, and a Wal-Mart figure 8-pack so it was a worthwhile trip. I would have loved to have found more of the Wal-Mart sets (I only saw three between two stores), but not having to deal with any crowds was a worthy tradeoff. One year I would love to camp outside of a store... as lame as it is it would definitely be a unique experience.

JC, when I was at my Walmart, I stolled through the store that night and looked at the toys and only saw one of those Avengers 8-packs. There were many of the SW ones, but just the one Avengers one left over!

Greg, you couldn't pay me to go outside and wait at a store!

Most of my shopping was at Amazon. I grabbed the LotR EE Blu-Ray set for $40, and a handful of other titles.

I got that same deal QGJ. They'd had it for about $45 the week before & I didn't bite. $40....yeah, may as well.

I have been stalking GoHastings.com for that set and for the Indy set trying to get a used copy at 30% off, but I kept missing. This $40 set is less than a discounted used set, so I'm happy.
