Best 12 inch Figure: Yoda
Company: Hasbro
Released: August 2003
Retail: $24.99

While it was also one of the hardest to find figures of the year, it also covered all the important bases. Yoda came with a ton of extras that took a little sting out of the 12” figure price tag on the 6” figure. He has a lightsaber, cane, chair, viewscreen, lightning, and a great sculpt, spectacular costume, and pretty much everything you could possibly want short of a sound chip. 2003 was really a year for Hasbro to bring back old characters with a few new ones, and this gave them the chance to improve a lot of old favorites. And Yoda should be a favorite for years to come.

Runner Up: Lando Calrissian in Skiff Guard Disguise

Our runner-up was the Lando Calrissian in Skiff Guard Disguise. While the helmet’s a little misshapen, a little bit of work can get it looking right and the head and outfit are all excellent. He has a great head sculpt and good weapons, and while Jabba’s Palace is rarely represented in the large scale, at least it’s represented well.
