The first modern attempt at the TIE Fighter Pilot was so good, the same basic body kept being used long after a resculpt came out. Fans liked it then, and while they prefer the newer one, this version was pretty good for its day. How good? Read on!

This R2-D2 was a long time coming. The little guy with energy bolts all over him and his panels flung out seemed like a no-brainer, but it took about 25 years to make the transition into plastic. How does he work as a toy, now that you can get one? Read on!

Today in Figure of the Day, we look at the brand-new just-released Young Padawan Girl from the Star Tours-exclusive Jedi Training Academy set. While it may not provide the bang for the buck you might want, the quality of the head sculpt is absolutely here and those wanting some generic human Jedi figures are going to want this set. We start with this girl-- how is she? Read on!

While not a huge seller, Orn Free Taa was certainly very large-- the largest Twi\'lek so far! He has a fair amount of articulation and detail, and was a highlight in late 2002. Of course, he hit a few clearance racks and closeout bins. But don\'t you want to know why he\'s cool? Sure you do. Read on!

The first modern Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard) was freaking amazing in 1997. Hasbro figured out how to make it look good and keep both hands on the pike without adding in extra articulation, plus the deco kicked the snot out of the vintage figure-- which itself was really good. But how is it in 2009? Read on!

Oh, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You are not a terrible figure, Hasbro just made way too many of you. Your hard plastic robes are pretty striking, and the lightsaber from Qui-Gon Jinn? An excellent choice. But you are old now, Mr. Kenobi, and after nine years, how good could you be?
