Commentary: Hasbro's various General Grievous figures in 2005 (and beyond) all had their highs and their lows. Mostly lows, due to the fact that the figures are much shorter in stature than other figures when compared to their on-screen doppelgangers. This figure has the added indignity of overly filthy deco and an action feature that really doesn't do anything to make it worth twice as much as a basic figure. When looking at this figure in the package, its most distinguished feature is a big grappling gun. A large gun that, I should add, really doesn't do anything and the figure doesn't much like to hold. Oh, and his cape doesn't stay on easily, either.

The figure's selling point is that if you push down on his head, his arms "split" to reveal four arms just like in the movie. It doesn't quite work all that well, but it does do what is advertised. The figure isn't much fun to play with, and once you discount the added arms doesn't have too much going on in the articulation department. I personally would advise skipping this one just because it doesn't improve on the other basic Grievous figures over the years, many of which weren't all that great in the first place.

Collector's Notes: Save your money. For fans looking to collect them all only. This figure has never been reissued and probably won't be any time soon. ( MORE IMAGES )
