Commentary: Good, but not great-- but very, very close. Agen Kolar is a well-designed figure with a few glaring flaws. For starters, his lightsaber is green. If you've seen the movie, you know it's blue, and the film images on the individual figure's packaging don't show the lightsaber at all. So there's strike one. The figure's cloak is plastic, and comes in pieces-- it's like a clamshell that fits over the figure. There's a body piece, a right sleeve piece, and a left sleeve piece. It looks decent enough, but it's out of place with the rest of the line as this is the only figure to ever have a cloak like this (so far). When the figure came out in a gift set later on, the other Jedi in the pack would all come with cloth robes-- but not poor Mr. Kolar. That's strike two, and also the last strike, because the figure is excellent otherwise.

In terms of articulation, he's superb. He could be better, but the range of motion afforded him by his 12 points of articulation should be enough to get the most out of him. He has a cloth lower robe, which again, is odd, but it lets him move around quite nicely. You can plug a lightsaber into a hole in his belt, his likeness is pretty good and actually looks like Agen Kolar*, and his fairly lanky build is a nice change of pace from the generally wider-chested figures we're used to seeing. So you can pose this figure, he has a display stand, and he looks like the character on which he is based. You really can't ask for too much more, aside from ankles, ball-jointed elbows, a cloth cloak, and a blue lightsaber. (But if you buy a lot of figures like I do, you no doubt have extra lightsabers and cloaks and can solve part of the problem all on your own.

Collector's Notes: The same exact figure is available on an individual card from 2005 or in the Jedi vs. Darth Sidious Battle Pack from 2006-present. The only change is that the battle pack does not include display stands, so feel free to snag either and get the complete Agen Kolar expierience.
*= The previous Agen Kolar figure was released during the Original Trilogy Collection line in a Jedi Council Screen Scene pack, and was just Eeth Koth with a new name. Oops. At least this one makes up for it nicely. ( MORE IMAGES )
