O.K. this session's Q&A had a big ole STOP sign slapped up (and then strangely... it turned into a detour). We also ask one of our "wish upon a star" questions, and Team Hasbro had some surprisingly refreshing answers. (How bad do you think Taunton, MA smells? This reporter has been there.)

Galactic Hunter: Were the Dewback and the Gelagrub successful enough that we will see some more  non-character (e.g.. Jabba The Hutt) creatures? In a previous Q&A we learned that a Tauntaun was pushed back. Is there any chance it has inched forward at all?

HASBRO: No to all three questions, unfortunately. Neither cleared through retail like we had hoped and as a result creatures have been a bit of a tough sell.  We do think the Tauntaun, though, stands along because it is tied to great characters and can be more affordably priced.  Right now, we are hopeful a new version will be in the 2011 exclusive lineup but this is not confirmed and could fall off the table. If it does, we will look at 2012.  No word on whether we will be able to capture the real smell of a Taunton in plastic; we're having a hard time finding volunteers to make it all the way through the product testing.

[Editor's Note: We're not sure which smells worse the innards of a Tauntaun or Taunton, MA* (located eerily near the toymakers' HQ). Potential Freudian slips aside, we will gladly sacrifice our olfactory senses for the sake of better toys. This writer has been stuck in Taunton, MA on a cold winter's night, so bring it on!]

Galactic Hunter: Periodically we've asked what is on the Team Hasbro wish-list? Would it be possible to get a couple of thoughts from the crew? (Nothing is written in stone, but our team is known to geek out a bit.)

HASBRO: Ahhh…great question as usual.  We would like to see a Star Destroyer playset at some time, but unfortunately the current state of playset success means that this is not likely to happen.  We would also like to see a real Krayt Dragon int he line (again, a pipe dream but here's hoping we can see something in entertainment some time), as well as a return to having more exciting Expanded Universe figures back in the line. Finally, our dream is to have The Force Unleashed II and Star Wars — The Old Republic figures in the lineup. Since we have yet to start 2012, the latter is a likelihood, but for now these great videogame figures remain a wish.  Thanks for asking!
