I got a tip email from reader Denis this afternoon that here in Los Angeles, a new Galactic Heroes boxed set showed up. It turns out that I hit another local store, and two are now available. Read on for pictures and the story. Here's what you need to know:1. There are two sets. Yavin 4 Ceremony has Luke Skywalker (exclusive), Princess Leia (exclusive), Han Solo with Medal (arguably exclusive), C-3PO, R2-D2, two Rebel Troopers, and Chewbacca. Jabba's Sail Barge has Jabba the Hutt, Max Rebo (exclusive, first-ever Hasbro Red Ball Organ with the correct parts on it), Droopy McCool (exclusive), Slave Leia, R2-D2 with Drink Dispenser, Luke Skywalker, and Boba Fett. 2. Each pack is-- in theory-- $24.99. 3. Each pack does not presently ring up. Apparently Hasbro's information did not yet make it into the Toys "R" Us computers, that's how new and surprising these are. The store I bought these at rang up another similar set of Galactic Heroes. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume these are either being "announced" next week, or were forgotten and slipped through the cracks.
