Bio: As part of a Rebel mission to rescue Jorin Sol from the Imperial base on Kalist VI, Luke Skywalker pretends to be Imperial officer Lieutenant Jundland. He unexpectedly encounters an old friend from Tatooine whose knowledge of Luke's true identity may jeopardize the mission. (Taken from the figure's cardback.)

Commentary: Some characters like Luke Skywalker are so popular, it's important for a toy company to find new ways to sell it. Sometimes a toy company will paint Batman purple, or perhaps give Superman a space suit. In the case of Star Wars, Hasbro tends to delve into the comics and books to come up with Lt. Jundland, an alias of the Rebel hero from the fairly recent Empire series. Hasbro decided to take the body of the Admiral Ozzel action figure, give it a new head, a hat, and a lightsaber, and presto-- instant new figure. Luke can still be posed like he's being choked, and can hold an accessory in his right hand. The coloring is decent, the head sculpt is acceptable, and for those looking for another Imperial Officer for the ranks, you could do a lot worse. He has only 8 points of articulation, but given you get another super-articulated figure and a comic book in the set with this figure, it's totally fine. I'd suggest getting this one if you're at all interested in populating dioramas or you dig a nice plausible original version of Luke.

Collector's Notes: Recently released, it's still available if you do a little looking. With a comic and another figure, it's a decent deal.
